Peaceful retreat in Drome Provencale Castel

😊: We were overwhelmed when we arrived inside the property. The decor was so beautiful, very typical old word french. Very roomy and had everythng we needed. Even our own balcony with a view..

😊: We were just passing by, only 1 night stay, but were so happy to have chosen this place. Beautiful views, spacious, very clean, great bathroom and terrace. The place is small castle, and keeps old charm with new utilities. Owners were not there, but very reactive over phone. We loved the little Mexican restaurant in walking distance - it's a hidden gem, we highly recommend.. 😢: All great, really, especially if you look for a place out of the crowds, nature, as it is a bit isolated (but still all within the reach by car)..

😊: This is an outstandingly beautiful old property with great views in all directions. A lovely all be it cold at this time of year pool. It has been renovated to a high standard and furnished very tastefully. A number of people live in it and a couple of apartments appear to be holiday lets. Our apartment had a huge terrasse with wonderful views, the stairs up to it were easy - solid stone. The kitchen was good and we ate in for two nights to enjoy our terrasse.. 😢: Routine instructions/information were lacking (which is very common for France). Apparently you are meant to just "know" that you need to "find" the village bins (they are on way to Montelimar - look right down side road on way to garage on roundabout) for your waste disposal and recycling. If you are only at a place for a few nights it's nice to have that info and a few personal recommendations for shops, restaurants etc. Luckily we had anti mosquito spray - either provide it or warn guests to bring it. The electronic external property gate was not functional on arrival and we were warned about that. No issue. They then mended it during the stay but failed to tell us how to get out again at the end whilst leaving keys in lock box upstairs...I asked the day before, got told a red button low down on the side would let us out. But it didn't. The keypad code was not the same one we had been given originally - ergo - locked in. No reply when phoned but one owner responded fast to text. Meanwhile I had rescued our keys again, used the remote and told them I would post their keys into their letter box. Another thing they clearly need to anticipate happening and leave some proper instructions about!.
