Périgord noir, demeure de charme avec piscine privée dans propriété

Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable dans la propriété. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la terrasse ombragée, la piscine et sa vue dégagée, les conseils et précisions donnés par le propriétaire avant notre arrivée (accès, détails pratiques sur la maison, activités aux alentours), et l'attention du propriétaire et des voisins en charge de la maison. Tout cela dans une superbe région où les activités (patrimoine, balades, sport, gastronomie) ne manquent pas !

This holiday was an opportunity for the family to get together, so we had three couples, plus baby and a dog. The property was ideally suited to our needs and we had a fantastic week. Accommodation is arranged on 2 floors and it was possible to give the couple with a baby a separate wing of their own. The house is charming and has the feel of a genuine family home, possibly going back generations, which really helped us settle in. Whether it was a barbeque on the rear terrace overlooking the swimming pool and across the valley, or breakfast on the front terrace in the morning sun. Although we did not stray far, the local area was perfect for short walks or wandering around local villages. Indeed, the night market in Belves was a particular highlight and is much recommended. Be aware that there is a dairy farm fairly close by. This does not cause any problem from the perspective of either noise or smell, and we found it charming to wake up and find a herd of chestnut coloured cows about 40-50 yards from the swimming pool (behind a fence). However, if your dog is not well-behaved, you may find this a distraction. All in all, much recommended and we are considering visiting again in a few years time.

Grande et magnifique maison, décorée avec originalité et beaucoup de goût. Un accueil chaleureux. La maison est très bien équipée. On a bien profité de la piscine avec les fortes chaleurs. On garde l’adresse pour une prochaine visite dans le Périgord!

The surrounding countryside was idyllic and all the more special in such a popular area. The house was full of history and charm and had everything we could need. The highlight for the children was the full-size pool and we loved exploring the area.

Maison spacieuse et formidable décorée située dans le calme à coté de Belvès. Une grande piscine propre et le jardin est un endroit de détente totale. Enfin quoi redire, tout a été parfait et cela donne envie d'y retourner. Merci à Francois Le Bon pour sa gentillesse.
