Pet Friendly Apartment Located in Inner City of Honfleur

Great stay In Honfleur a beautiful port with so many visitors lots of restaurants and boutiques. To get away from the crowds a walk to the beach is good and up to the lookout both tranquil places and the towns gardens are beautiful too. Fete du Marin was great to see on the long weekend we were there. The apartment was clean and comfortable.The stairs are steep if that’s an issue,we managed and we are in late 60’s.There wasn’t a washing machine in the apartment as advertised but Claire and Lauryane allowed us to use their washing machine on one occasion. The check process was easy Claire allowed us to get in early which was great.

Für die Erkundung von Honfleur und der Umgebung ist die Lage perfekt. In wenigen Gehminuten ist man in der Stadt, der Supermarkt im die Ecke. Die Wohnung ist eine kleine Oase, schön ruhig und praktisch eingerichtet. Wir würden wieder kommen.

The communication was good, it was helpful having email and phone numbers as the arranging became much easier. The location was perfect right in the centre of Honfleur, also having private parking was a bonus.

Hemos estado mi mujer y yo cuatro dias en casa de Claire y Antoine en Honfleur y solo puedo decir cosas buenas. El apartamento está situado inmejorablemente para visitar esa ciudad y que está a 100 metros del centro, pero te da la tranquilidad que supone esa distancia minima. El apartamento, pequeño pero no le falta absolutamente de nada, con una cocina completamente equipada y comedor salon en la parte baja, para luego subir por una escalera de caracol, a la habitación, amplia con una cama muy comoda y un cuarto de baño de dimensiones generosas. Todo ello exterior, pero dando a un patio interior super tranquilo. Para dejar el vehiculo, Claire te da la opcion de guardarlo en un garaje a 500 metros del apartamento, a 7€ dia. Ideal, ya que el aparcamiento en Honfleur, es carisimo. Como anfitriones, Claire y Antoine, son excepcionales, atentos, generosos y dispuestos en todo momento a ayudarte en caso de que sea necesario, dos personas encantadoras. Honfleur is lovely and the property is an easy walk of a few minutes to the harbour area. Rented a garage from the owner about 5 minutes walk back. 7€ so again great value and no hassle with paying for parking every morning. Took car into the court yard to pack and unpack. All very easy. No problem finding the apartment. Great little supermarket almost next door. And bigger one 5 minute drive.

Claire, our host, was welcoming and gracious and gave lots of information about the duplex as well as the town. The location was perfect - a market 2 minutes away for necessities such as water, wine, cheese etc), 5 minutes to her reserved parking which is in front of a boulangerie, less than 10 minutes from the the medieval area and the "vieux port" of Honfleur where restaurants and shops abound. The condo is spacious enough and the kitchen is fully equipped. And the bathroom is huge compared to many anywhere in France! Grand merci, Claire!

This is a very nice, clean and bright apartment. The kitchen is well equipped, there is easy access to a washing machine, and the bed is comfortable. There is good water pressure and hot water. There is enough room to unpack and to put your feet up. It is very close to the old harbour, and while on a main road, is also quiet. It is very good value. It is a bit hard to find so ask for more than just the address. There is a small grocery store several steps away to get you started, but you will want to go to the Intermarche for a full shop. Though this is a review of the apartment, Honfleur is a lovely town (if a bit crowded on weekends) and good as a home base for day trips for exploring the Cavados region. Claire's recommendations on where to eat in town were great. The Satie museum is in Honfleur, and while the main Musee Eugene Bodin is at this writing closed, check out Ioana's art gallery next door. As nice as this place is, the owners are the star attraction. We got caught up in the strikes with our return to Paris compromised, and both Claire and Antoine took a lot of effort to help us identify options, including making phone calls on our behalf. This was very helpful in a situation where information was not always dependable. Thank you, Claire and Antoine. Highly recommended!
