Pet Friendly La Côte Fleurie Haute Provence

We found the property to be spotlessly clean and well equiped, plus the bed is very comfortable too. The location was perfect for us and despite being rural it was easy to find using Google maps via the VRBO app. The gite has plenty of privacy yet is nearby to the owners own house. We had a lovely welcome from Anne-Marie and Pierre and they provided plenty of info about the area. Supermarkets, local markets/shops, bakeries and restaurants were all a short drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed our three weeks and have no hesitation in recommending this property to you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the property being spacious, light & airy, and in an excellent location surrounded by beautiful countryside. A very tranquil area, which we much appreciated, as it offered the opportunity to sit outside and hear nothing but birdsong and the buzz of insects. M. & Mme Parent were on hand if needed, but always respected our privacy. They were excellent hosts. The property's close proximity to Forcalquier is also a benefit, being only a short drive. Without hesitation, we would stay again.

Perfect hideaway, great little house, nicely furnished with very good kitchen, comfortable bed, nice bath room and everything one can desire. Our hosts where extremely charming (that includes Cachou, the dog!). Wonderful place just to shut off, to visit the Haute Provence (lots of beautiful villages around, amazing markets) or for fantastic bike rides up the Signal de Lure (1824m) or down in the valley.

We spent a very pleasant fortnight at the “Côte Fleurie”. Our hosts, Anne-Marie and Pierre, are friendly and welcoming, and go out of their way to ensure that you have everything you need for your stay. The gîte is modern, clean and well equipped, with lots of information leaflets and books, which tell you about things to do and places visit in and around Forcalquier . Anne-Marie and Pierre are happy to suggest the best places to visit if you have no previous knowledge of the area. The “Côte Fleurie” is a haven of peace and tranquillity, ‘away from it all’, but there are all the shops and supermarkets you need within easy reach in Forcalquier (about 2.5 miles away). A car is essential for your stay here, although Pierre and Anne-Marie also offer the use of a couple of bikes if you want to explore the immediate countryside. And one must not forget to mention the adorable Cachou, the family dog who loves to spend time with the guests when they’re ‘at home’. In short: a brilliant holiday in a perfect location.
