Lovely traditional chalet in a beautiful setting. Peaceful, tranquil location with walks from the door. Comfortable interior with everything you could need for a fantastic holiday. The host was always available to answer any questions and provided lots of information prior to arrival

We had a fantastic stay at this chalet and couldn’t have asked for more. The host was very welcoming and helpful, making everything feel easy and relaxed from the moment we arrived. The chalet itself is beautiful, warm and extremely comfortable, with stunning views over the Samoëns valley.We especially loved the peaceful atmosphere and the log fire, which made evenings incredibly cosy after busy days exploring the area. Everything was well maintained and thoughtfully equipped, making it a perfect family escape.A truly memorable stay and somewhere we would happily return to and recommend to others.

This property is located in the heart of the French Alps and has a country feel even though it is only minutes from town. If you enjoy quiet and comfort this is an awesome chalet. We also did one hour day trips to Annecy, Yvoire, and Chamonix. Thank you for sharing your home!

We (3 people from Germany) happily returned to Chalet Le Moulin for another 2 weeks in this cosy vacation home in sublime landscape. Nigel and Irene's house is a place where you feel right at home. When it rains — and given the lush green surroundings, this is part of the Alpine experience — we made ourselves comfortable and read, relaxed by the fireplace, and/or ate cheese and other delicacies from French cuisine. The kitchen in the vacation home is well equipped to prepare all these treats. Numerous cookbooks help you prepare foreign recipes with delicious cheese, fresh fish from Super U, etc. Nearby are supermarkets, bakeries, cheese shops, a butcher and weekly markets that offer almost everything you need.When the weather is fine, there are countless opportunities for mountain tours/hikes, ranging from easy to strenuous - afterwards, you can enjoy the fantastic mountain panorama and the sunset on the balcony with a few snacks and good wines.Anyway, time flies... and it's time to plan your return next year.

Thanks for a great week, definitely one would return to. Very well equipped, a great venue if you want Alpine beauty. I see someone was complaining that the stairs creak in the night, err well that's wood does!

We had never been to Haute Savoie before. It is a remarkable natural landscape in the immediate (Sameons valley) and wider surroundings. The cottage is comfortably furnished, very clean and the kitchen is well equipped with numerous appliances. Deep sleep is guaranteed, the memorable silence is accompanied only by the sound of the torrent. The location - secluded - is exceptional and met our expectations. Only the weather didn't want to show its best side - for alpine hiking - so we enjoyed our stay in the chalet all the more, with a crackling fire. Nearby shopping facilities in Mieussy offer fresh bread, delicious meat products and of course wonderful cheese, not just but also from the super cow “Abandonce”. Excursions to the surrounding area, Evian and Annecy offered good alternatives in bad weather. We hope for more stable weather for our next vacation in Nigel and Irene's wonderful vacation home. PS. Communication with Nigel was always swift and to the point.

Lovely homely chalet with absolutely amazing views. Very well equipped. Great walks nearby. Few things a bit dated but the chalet has a lovely warm feel to it. The host was very helpful, answering our queries quickly and clearly had fantastic knowledge of the local area. Please note the hot tub is wood fired so takes a long time to warm up, so you do need to be around all day to get it warmed up which for us wasn't practical as we spent our days out exploring,

Lovely chalet with a beautiful view of the valley. Short drive up to ski hills and into town. There are lots of interesting walks from the chalet door.
