Pet Friendly Mako

We went with 4 perons and 2 dogs to the wonderfull vacation-villa of Gilles. It was wonderfull. Beautiful garden, all was fenced (good for our dogs, so they could be free and save in the garden). Nice pool, big enough. There are plenty of seats to chill in the garden. Also inside it was perfect. You had everything you needed in kitchen,... The first day there was an friendly woman who welcomed us and worked for the agency. We payef by cash a deposit. The last day we got it all back, it was very trustworthy. Then we met Gilles during our stay. He is very friendly and caring for his guests and also sweet to the dogs. He stayed also at the place but in his own loft. So it was still private. He respected that also! A little problem was just that the reservation went to the owner for 1 person. But we were there with 4. I let him know that we would come with 4, but it didn't go trough (was also a year before the arrival) so they tought I would come alone. But immediately no problem for Gilles. He made sure for 4 persons is the house, so no problem. It was a problem from VRBO I suppose. En plus... very good en fast communication with Gilles when we had questions. The location itself: There are lovely beaches and cute towns around Meschers. Perfect holiday place! Thank you. I would recommend to many people. Greets from Belgium Lauren, Gael, Estelle, Niels

NOUS AVONS PASSE UN EXCELLENT SEJOUR. LA MAISON EST PARFAITE , L EQUIPEMENT COMPLET, LA PISCINE TRES AGREABLE ET L EMPLACEMENT TRES TRANQUILLE.

Three days before leaving the UK we were contacted by the owner's agent saying we had to leave a large € deposit (now increased). I offered a credit card but they would only accept a cheque or cash. Appealed to owner who agreed to reduce but still had to leave a large amount in cash. Owner pointed out it was in his conditions. This is not communicated in the booking and I eventually I found it hidden, in French, in a sub menu, under House Rules, on the UK website. On departure we had to get to Bordeaux really early on Saturday morning to drop off our daughter but the agent initially refused to come before 7am and suggested we leave on Friday night and book a hotel. We proposed that we return from the drive to Bordeaux and get back for a 10am check out (as per the contract) but the agent said this was not possible as her schedule was already organised for Saturday. After appealing to the owner she eventually agreed but only after demanding an extra fee (which the owner agreed to pay). Also note there was a gate operated by a fob which would not open when we had numerous power cuts. It was fortunate we didn't need to get out of the grounds at those times ! There is also a pool alarm that goes off repeatedly, Avoid the hassle and book elsewhere.

Accueil parfait par le propriétaire qui est très sympathique. La maison est très bien équipée et chaleureuse ; le jardin est bien entretenu et nos chiens ont pu en profiter pleinement. Le calme et la vue sur la campagne de la terrasse sont très agréables. Nous n’avons pas profité de la piscine en cette fin d’année mais c’est un plus certain pour l’été. Encore merci pour l’accueil !

Très bien accueilli par le propriétaire qui est au top 👍 et très disponible. La maison a de belles prestations conforme à l’annonce et est située au calme pas loin des plages. Nous avons passé de très belles vacances sous la chaleur et recommandons cette location sans soucis !!! ( surtout que la piscine arrive .....)

Such a beautiful, very luxurious home, with beautiful lush garden. Lots of vegetables growing in the garden (from tomatoes, apples, pears to grapes, eggplant, lettuce, zucchini, prunes and apricots). We felt very welcome and our host provided some delicious wine for our welcome. Gilles is a very gra cious host and made us feel at home. Very helpful and full of tips for us to visit. A gorgeous fee view from the back, located at the edge of the village and very quiet. We have enjoyed our stay here very much. We certainly recommend this location!
