Pet Friendly Saint Chaffrey House With Character Ideally Located

We enjoyed a week at the chalet exploring the local area and the ski resorts of Serre Chevalier and Montgenevre. The town and ski lift are not far down a steep hill. The view of the ski slope from the chalet is lovely and can be enjoyed on the terrace or in the light conservatory. The kitchen and second bedroom are compact but have storage and everything that you need is provided. The toilet is separate to the shower and wash basin which was handy for a group of 4 adults. It was great to be able to have bed linen and towels provided for ease. We enjoyed some evenings with a log fire and watching TV. If the second sofa were little more comfy it would be perfect! Communication with the owners was quick and friendly and although not fluent in English, with the aid of a smartphone and Google Translate, it wasn’t an issue. We have stayed in Serre Chevalier for 10 years and used a variety of types of accommodation -this is the best so far. For our family of four it was perfect. We had driven from UK to resort and without a car the location would be a challenge for some as it is approx. 10 minutes walk via a steep hill which we did manage several times but a car was really useful. The views across to slope and to the surrounding mountains are stunning. The only improvement we would want is based around picking up the key at the start of the holiday. We ended up waiting approx. 3 hours to get the key once in resort. However this was soon forgotten., I would suggest that the owners could look at a key box to improve the current situation. Overall 5 stars!

We had a fantastic time at the chalet and at serre chevalier in general. The chalet is beautifully decorated, clean and even had underfloor heating! The views are fantastic. The chalet is 15minutes walk away from the main gondola in chantemerle. I would say a car is necessary if you don't fancy walking uphill after a hard days skiing. Otherwise a car makes things very easy. A fantastic chalet in a fantastic resort. Owners were very helpful and relaxed too

Situated just far enough from the bustle of Chantemerle, but close enough to stay comfortable, this chalet has provided myself, family, and friends joy and warmth in both winter and summer. The view from the dining area is the highlight, and many mornings, afternoons, and evenings were spent there watching the light dance upon the Luc Alphand piste and the Prorel. In summer, the spacious deck and gas BBQ saw us dining outside both for lunch and dinner. There is a a feeling of calm to this space that will make us return again and again. Finally, if there are any problems or questions about how things work, the on location manager of the property is readily available. I can't recommend the chalet enough if it suits your needs.
