Hotel.sarlWe arrived Saturday afternoon and were welcomed by the owner of the house. The domain and house was old and not maintained and not at all as the pictures and description. Old smell in the house. Smell in the bathroom. Dirty swimming pool, tennis court which was impossible to use, a garden which was for months not maintained. When confronting the owner of the house with this she mentioned that it had rained hard in Lyon and there were even dead people in Belgium and Germany. Completely unacceptable comparison. We decided to leave immediately knowing we likely would never see our money again. Instead of spending three more days in Lyon after a wonderful week in the alps we decided to continue the road immediately to Belgium. What could have been a nice house in a nice park is turned unfortunately in fainted glory.
