PETITE RETAISE lovely house with heated pool

Petite Retaise had everything and more that we could have asked for. Super comfortable bed and sofa, which, when you have a bad back is such a relief! Spotlessly clean. The pool was fabulous and used every day. The owner’s communication was brilliant and everything was much appreciated. Highly recommended.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Petite Retaisse. The only thing we would like to mention is the problems experienced with the swimming pool. The description of the property quoted a 'heated pool' but the pool was very cold indeed. The pool level continued to drop & was topped up by the engineer, with cold water, on a daily basis. We made Justine aware of this. We were also not told to cover the pool at night until mid way through our holiday. We were advised by the pool engineer that the skimmer was faulty & had to be replaced. This took a few days to sort out & we were not able to enjoy the pool as we would have liked. All in all the pool was unusable for the majority of our stay. We feel that this problem should have been discovered prior to our arrival so that we could enjoy the house as advertised & paid for. We look forward to your comments.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Petite retaise - it is a really lovely holiday house with all the amenities we could have wished for. We all particularly enjoyed the pool and it was great to be within walking distance of the town. A small issue we had was sorted out very quickly without any questions.We would love to go back there again.

It was an easy 10 minute walk to the centre of St Martin and also close to the main supermarkets and bike hire. The place was really comfortable and the service from Sonia the concierge was brilliant. She even let us check in early when we arrived sooner than expected. I would highly recommend it and would love to go back in future

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, sehr geehrte Frau Barré, wir durften eine tolle sonnige Woche auf der Ile de Ré, in Ihrem Ferienhaus, verbringen. Toll ausgestattet, perfekt gelegen, der nicht einsehbare Pool, die Ausstattung, alles hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder auf die Ile de Ré Christian

Nous sommes venus en février avec notre grande fille. Espace idéal en hiver. Le port de Saint Martin accessible à pied et la piste cyclable à 300m. Nous connaissions l'île de ré l'été pas l'hiver. C'est fait. Quelle tranquillité aux terrasses, pas d'embouteillage sur les pistes cyclables et seuls au monde sur les magnifiques plages. Maison au calme au fond d'une impasse décorée avec goût et très bien équipée. Très belle expérience à renouveler.

We really enjoyed Ile de Re but were a little disappointed with the property. The photos are representative but we just felt it was a bit tired and musty, and in need of some more cleaning. There were a few cobwebs and spiders around! Some of the lights didn't work, including the outside one. We only seemed to have been given one black bin bag for rubbish which soon filled up. Some more storage space in the bedrooms would have been useful e.g. chest of drawers. We didn't realise the two bedrooms are connected which may not suit everyone - to get from the master bedroom into the living area you have to walk through the second bedroom. We hired linen and were disappointed with the quality provided. One thin pillow each would not be sufficient for some people. We appreciated having our own outdoor space and a parking space. The property is in a good location, five minutes walk into the town and two minutes from a bus stop. The two main supermarkets are just a few minutes away by car. The owners were very helpful in booking the property but the property manager was slow to respond to emails and texts.
