Pigeonnier - Traditional Farmhouse near La Rochelle. beaches 20 mins and a pool.

Excellent pool, charming small group of gites, lovely walk to nearby village but few facilities there (although bread available from dispenser next to Mairie). Good boulangerie at le Thou a short drive away. We enjoyed exploring La Rochelle and going to the nearest beaches. Owners live on-site and were very helpful.

Had a lovely stay, Nigel and Suzanne were very welcoming and friendly. Very well equipped, nice and cool inside. Very good swimming pool and lots of chairs to sit around it. Very quiet.

We have spent a week here with our 2 children (6 and 8). The room has been furnished and decorated with a lot of attention to detail. The hosts were very kind and welcoming. Overall a very pleasant stay in a beautiful countryside estate.

Second time staying here and I love it. Luckily I had time to spend with Nigel and Suzy this time and truly enjoyed our evening together. I have been coming to Charente-Maritime since the 80’s and love the laid back genuine character of the region and people. This area has grown to be a second home to me and my friends there my second family.

Very cosy little gite. We stayed here on a short stopover to the south of France. The hosts were lovely & very helpful.

Oct/Nov 2018 - 10 days Property is in a quiet isolated position and is the perfect base to explore the surrounding area. Small but very cosy it has lots of rustic charm and is ideal for 2 persons. Only downside was the intermittent internet connection, if this is no worry to you then I would recommend this property as a welcoming and relaxing place to stay.

Really enjoyed staying in the authentic stone Pigeonnier. Had everything I needed, bed very comfy! Set in lovely countryside very peaceful & relaxing.
