We enjoyed our two and a half weeks in Rochechouart, despite some disappointing weather.The house, which was fairly simply furnished and a little on the dark side but well-equipped, was in a very peaceful, natural location, ideal for exploring the town and surrounding area. There are lots of good walks in the area which we enjoyed and it was also very relaxing and entertaining to sit by the river, listening to the water and watching the kingfishers, wagtails and coypu.The swimming pool was lovely. The temperature was consistently warm and was big enough to have a proper swim. It also had a reasonable sized shallow end which would be great for little ones. It was well maintained and cleaned regularly by the nice owners, who live in the neighbouring property but were not intrusive.

This was the perfect relaxing holiday for us this year. The villa was ideal, it gave everyone enough space to be by them selves and there were big enough areas for us all to be together. This is very difficult to find when you are a family of 6! There were so many beautiful places in the grounds of the villa. The pool was an ideal size and at a lovely temperature. Claire was a wonderful host and was always there on hand if needed but not intrusive. Thank you so much for our wonderful holiday. The location dropped a star only because there weren't many places to eat out in the local area. This was no problem for us as we were more than happy to eat in and cook for ourselves. We did find a couple of places to eat which were perfect for us and we weren't very adventurous. The rest of the location was so picturesque and we enjoyed many walks, cycles, swims and chateaux's all within a half hour drive.

Très beau domaine au cadre magnifique. Le Château surplombant l'accès au moulin fait son effet dès l'arrivée 🤩. La propriétaire est très accueillante et à l'écoute. Nous cherchions le dépaysement et la déconnexion, nous l'avons trouvé à la Maillerie. Nous recommandons sans hésitation.

Großes Grundstück voller Natur! Historisches Haus! Besonders hervorzuheben: für ein Privathaus sehr großer Pool (und ohne Chlor)! Des Weiteren können wir eine vorhergehende Bewertung voll bestätigen: "Im Nachbarhaus wohnt Claire, die Vermieterin. Ein ganz wunderbarer, ruhiger und zurückhaltender Mensch, immer verfügbar und hilfsbereit aber nie störend". Wir hatten eine wunderbare Woche

trés belle propriété, tout était parfait, nous avons des souvenirs pleins la te^te ,un anniversaire réussi , nous avons passé un agréable week end en famille, en plus le soleil était là merci Claire pour votre gentillesse, J M et C Escoffier

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour au calme environnement excellent pour la randonnée
