The small cottage has exactly the right size for a nice relaxing time for two. The hostess has furnished the house with great attention to detail and nothing is missing. The check-in was totally uncomplicated, as was the check-out. Stephanie was on vacation herself at that time, so we just locked the door and threw the key into the mailbox of the main house. Thanks for that. There is everything you need, we enjoyed sitting on the terrace and just watching the horses graze, catching the swallow flying, turning the farmer over the grass and the tame rabbit hoping around on the meadow. It's very quiet and lonely there, just what you need to recharge your batteries on holiday. In the bedroom under the roof there is air conditioning, which was very good, because it was very hot at that time. In the living room underneath, you don't need air conditioning, because the old stone walls from 1767 kept the heat well outside. The bathroom with ground level shower is big enough for two. And the kitchen is also big enough for 2, you can cook well. Everything is there and there is an electric grill which works very well. That was a very successful stay. Gladly again.
We have very much enjoyed our time in this beautiful house with its elaborate details, the tranquility, being surrounded by wounderful countryside, horses, a rabbit and lots of birds. Much obliged! Hubert + Karin Maulbronn - UNESCO World Heritage site - Germany
This property is excellent! You must book it and experience the French countryside in a wonderful, updated house. Stephanie’s description and pictures on VRBO were exactly as delivered! We chose this property as a mid-point rest stop as we drove from Luxembourg to Switzerland – we stayed two days and could have stayed for many more. We had not visited this part of France and were very impressed with its quiet beauty – rolling hills, friendly people, working farms and roosters crowing at morning light. We were there in late September 2017 – the weather was very good, early autumn, with clouds and sun. The house is well updated with a very functional kitchen, which we used many times. All furnishings were comfortable, including the bed in the upstairs room. Easy and close access to small towns all around – including local butchers, bakeries and convenience stores. Stephanie was a wonderful host and answered many questions on the spot. If you want a quiet French countryside getaway – choose to stay here – you will be very happy you did! We will return!
