Pretty house in Medieval village with castle views

Check in was straight forward. Kitchen facilities were excellent. Wifi access was straightforward. Lovely house, very comfortable and cosy with a decent sized balcony giving a great view of the mountains and the castle. The area was beautiful. Very peaceful and scenic with good access to tourist attractions.

This house is set in a beautiful spot in Puilaurens, just below the Chateau. Lovely house with 4 bedrooms, full kitchen and terrace. The sound of the church bells was lovely, too. Instructions provided were very helpful

A really well presented home with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. A pleasing mix of modern & traditional set against a stunning mountain backdrop. This is the perfect place for a peaceful getaway.

01.10.-15.10.2022 We (my wife, my three kids [19,14,11] and my parents-in-law) had a very nice stay and truly relaxing holidays. The house is clean (especially both bathrooms were in a perfect condition!), quite nice and well equipped. It's located at the foot of the mountain on which the Puilaurens castle controls the surrounding landscape. Landlady and -lord were very friendly, flexible and accomodating. Contact was very nice and helpful. We can only recommend this location (5*****) and the landlady/-lord (5*****).

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans la maison de Deb et Ian, qui se sont montrés très réactifs lorsque nous les avons contactés pour une réservation tardive. Le gite est parfaitement situé, avec de nombreuses activités à faire à moins d'une demi-heure de route (visite de châteaux forts, le train rouge, musée de la préhistoire, activité aquatique) et beaucoup de jolies randonnées accessibles même avec des enfants petits (3 et 6 ans). La rivière passe juste en bas de la rue, les enfants ont été ravis de s'y mouiller les pieds. Le gite est joli et commode, les murs en pierre gardent l'intérieur relativement frais même lors des fortes chaleurs. Merci pour ce beau séjour !

Our family of three had a great time in this house. The location was excellent for us: situated at the end of a quit street in an agreeable little village. We spent a lot of time sitting outside on the patio, admiring the great views on the mountains. We where there during summer and where pleased to find out the area is great for hikes. Communication with Ian and Debra was fast and to the point. We liked this place a lot.

Charming house, well appointed and with great ambiance. Just where we wanted to be for our bi-annual get-together. Can highly recommend it as a base to visit nearby Cathar castles and the surrounding countryside.
