Pretty village house in Sorède a proxArgelès/mer Pyrénées Orientales,.

Home was comfortable and clean. The location is central to the sites we wanted to see and the Manager was extremely helpful. We had a wonderful week at this location.

We loved our time here. The apartment is large and comfortable and the terrace is lovely. A great location in Sorede - bakery and convenience store right outside the back gate. The caretaker Solange was wonderful - so thoughtful and gave great recommendations of what to do in the area. We loved hiking right from the apartment and drove 15 minutes to beautiful beaches. We’d love to return!

The four of us found the traditional house comfortable and spacious. It is in a great position for bars, restaurants and other amenities plus visiting the area/region. Bordered by mountains it is a very picturesque small town which easily gives a flavour of France which many find appealing. We parked in the nearby square which worked well in September. Overall a positive experience and good value for money Merci beaucoup Solange et Anne.

Really lovely property, comfy beds , fabulous quirky and interesting furniture, a little tired in places but this is a homely place that made you feel welcome. Nice garden with sun and shade available all day. Well equipped kitchen , lots of choice of where to eat what you’ve filled the big fridge with. Good hot showers and plentiful hot water. (towels could do with being bigger would be our only negative comment). Beautiful location (in town but quite quiet , near boulangeries, small shop, plus bar and restaurant), perfect for Ceret, Collioure and even Carcassone. Highly recommend for a home from home feel and a relaxed stay away from the crowds of Argeles and the like. Solange is very helpful and welcoming and take her word for it about the local pizza place - superb!

Village is wonderful with 2 boulangeries and grocery store 2 minutes walk from the house. A few restaurants in the main square added to the charm. It’s also very close to many other pretty villages and the beach towns. However the overall state of the property is tired. The beds were not made up upon arrival. The bedding and towels provided were old, threadbare and stained in parts!! The upstairs bath/shower required agility !! The bicycles provided had flat tires and when a pump was provided, it didn’t work. Unfortunately the house did not provide a level of ease or comfort that was expected.

Lovely small village nestled in the mountains, great little resto bar and patisserie just a few steps away. Our place was spacious and well equipped with everything you would need. It’s about a fifteen minute drive to the beach. Definitely a great spot.

This was the second year we stayed at this property and we enjoyed it too. It is full of charm. Great to have a couple of bicycles too which we used and once again thank you to Solange.
