We had a very warm welcome from our charming host . The house was very clean and comfortable overlooking the most beautiful garden . Lovely local walk into the village and lots of places to explore including Honfleur and Veules Les Roses .
Wir haben 2 unvergessliche Urlaubswochen in Valmont verbracht. Das Haus ist wunderschön, die Ausstattung ist sehr gut. Der Garten ist sogar eher ein Park und eine Oase der Ruhe. Die Vermieter sind sehr sympathisch und immer ansprechbar und hilfsbereit. Valmont ist aus unserer Sicht ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Umgebung - und man kehrt danach immer wieder gerne hierher zurück. Wir werden das Haus und die Vermieter in sehr guter Erinnerung behalten.
With this house you get what you see: You can enjoy the silence and the singing of the birds. The idyllic very well kept garden is simply a gem. In a short half an hour walk through a small forest along a river you reach Valmont. To explore the region of Seine Maritme Valmont is a very good starting point. The house is well equipped with lovely details. Rachel is a very nice and friendly host who gives you a lot of advices for places to see. (All the best for Regis, who was ill, when we spent our time in Valmont.)
Das Haus in Valmont ist wunderschön. Es ist in einem traumhaften und top gepflegten Garten eingebettet. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, dennoch hat man im Ort die wichtigsten Geschäfte (Supermarkt, Tankstelle). Von Valmont aus ist man mit dem Auto/ Fahrrad rasch am Meer. Rachel und Regis sind fantastische Gastgeber. Wir wurden mit einer sehr leckeren Schokoladentarte und frischen Gemüse aus dem Garten begrüßt. Wir reisten als Familie mit zwei Kindern (2 und 7 Jahre) und in der Unterkunft hat es an nichts gefehlt. Die Ziegen waren für die Kinder ein kleiner Höhepunkt, da sie sich gerne ein paar Streicheleinheiten abholten. Die Unterkunft und die Gastgeber sind voll und ganz weiterzuempfehlen.
Endlich haben wir DAS Haus gefunden, nach dem wir seit Jahren in der Normandie gesucht haben: sehr nette Vermieter, sehr sauber, total ruhige Gegend, riesiger gepflegter Garten. Das Objekt lässt keine Wünsche offen. Kurze Wege zum Bäcker und zum Supermarkt. Wir werden im nächsten Jahr mit Sicherheit wieder dieses Objekt buchen und können uns langwieriges Suchen im Internet ersparen und werden daher keine unliebsamen Überraschungen erleben.
Très bel endroit avec magnifique jardin très bien situé pour randos et balades à vélo...proprios très sympas..aux petits soins... A recommander !
We enjoyed staying at Rachel and Régis's lovely cottage and were made to feel very welcome by our hosts. Rachel recommended some places to visit and restaurants to dine in which was very helpful and they did all they could to make us feel at home. The cottage itself is very clean and comfortable with a good quality king size mattress in the main bedroom. I think the main feature was the beautifully landscaped and well maintained garden. It was a pleasure just to sit out on a sunny day or evening and enjoy the view and visit the goats at the bottom of the garden. It’s a very peaceful spot for a quiet holiday and just doing your own thing. There are some lovely walks from just outside the house that take you into town, or further afield if you are inclined. There is also a well stocked supermarket in town. The cottage is ideally placed for visiting the many local places of interest (you do need a car though). I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a charming place to stay.
The holiday flat is placed in the middle of nature. It has a huge well-tended garden with a big terrasse perfectly for sitting in the evening sunshine. The inside is appealingly and properly equipped. There are enough plug sockets, electric shutters on almost every windows. Modern designed, the open kitch has everything you need. Enough tableware, toaster, even a washing mashine is placed next to the dishwasher. There are a strechted table and a living room corner with TV. The bedrooms are comfortable and the beds (which is quite important for taller persons) are open-ended, so that you are able to strech out during sleeping. Toilet and bathroom with a great meassured shower do, what they are supposed for. The boulangerie, pattisserie as well as the supermarket are within a walking distance. We have been welcomed in a kindly way by Rachel, not only with delicious muffins, also with many information about possibilities where to spend our time in the normandy. To conclude: our previous holiday flats weren't as well equipped as this one. The silence in the idyllic scene is impressive and we have decided to book there again. Not only because the normandy is such a beautiful landscape, also because we know how lovely we are placed.
