Idyllic and hidden escapeWe arrived after a long journey from Germany, found the house easily in a quiet side street, and experienced straightforward check-in with responsive, multilingual communication from the host Sylvain. He also provided helpful in-person guidance shortly after our arrival. When we had questions Sylvain responded immediately. We had no issues or complaints.The house was clean, nicely furnished, and well equipped with three bedrooms and air conditioning upstairs. Although lacking an upstairs bathroom, the two bathrooms on the ground floor and open kitchen and living areas met our needs well. Amenities included TV, DVD, board games, and great working Wi-Fi.The outdoor area was a highlight, featuring a heated pool with underwater lighting, jacuzzi, sauna, table tennis, and table football. The poolside terrace and lounge offered sun loungers, umbrellas, and a dining area under a sun sail, all within a private and quiet fenced space.A small supermarket was within walking distance, while nearby Soulac and Montalivet offered dining and shopping options. We frequently visited Le Gurp beach, a great spot for surfing and suitable for dogs, where our kids took surf lessons.We spent 2 wonderful weeks in July/August and due to the great weather and the beautiful house we had one of the best holidays ever. Whenever we come back to this place we will definitely come back to this or one of Sylvain’s other houses.Clear recommendation! Thanks for everything.

I know the phrase "hidden gem" is thrown around too frequently these days, but this villa was just that. Easy to book, find and check-in, the villa is nestled in a very peaceful small village just a few km from the most amazing beach, with a superb boulangerie, local shop and restaurant all within walking distance from the front door. The villa itself was well equipped, comfy and we settled in really quickly. It was incredibly clean and the facilities meant we could have easily spent the whole week just in the villa; Pool with removable cover, jacuzzi, sauna, table football, ping-pong table, BBQ, board games TV, blu-ray player and fast wifi. Sylvain was a lovely chap; friendly, polite and explained everything really well and answered all of our questions which really helped us to settle into the holiday easily. I have no-doubt that we will be visiting again!

Would highly recommend only if close access to 300 kms of beaches , fresh seafood , wineries , horse riding , day & night markets etc etc etc are important to you . We would go back .

We had great time at the Vila . The pool and the jakizzi are very good! The host is very helpful . The location is very good too. We will be defiantly coming back :)

The accommodation was fantastic - just as it was described on the website. Everything you could need was there. The swimming pool and bar-B Q were used every day and the hot tub was welcoming! The push bikes were an added bonus as it allowed us to explore the local area without using the car. The nearest beach was 20 mins cycle ride away - but all flat! As for the location, it is in a village setting, with a local Spar shop for bread and milk etc. There is a local bar nearby which we didn't visit. The property is situated down a quiet road, with minimal noise. The only noise we heard at night was an owl hooting. There is a large Carrefour supermarket in Soulac sur mer and a Lidl, and many lovely restaurants in the resort for meals. Soulac sur mer is a typical French resort. The homeowner was very welcoming and explained how everything worked before he left us to enjoy our week's holiday. Will definitely be going back next year. We had a week in June and the weather was fantastic. We would certainly recommend this property. Bed linen is provided but take your own towels.

This chalet is clean and modern. The bikes allowed us to explore the area on the many cycle paths. Miles of sandy beaches a bike ride away. An hour or so gets you to Bordeaux and the Park and ride (all day tram ticket 4 euros 60 cents for an adult.) Beautiful countryside, vineyards. The pool and hot tub were superb, watching the stars while sipping champagne in the hot tub was surreal. I would recommend this chalet.
