Propriété avec piscine près de Sarlat La Caneda - house private pool 12 people

A marvelous house full of character in a stunning setting. Extremely peaceful despite being not far from all the activities of the Dordogne River and Towns. Would recommend for those wishing to enjoy nature and peace and wish to explore the dramatic river towns of the area. Good swimming Pool.

We had the most wonderfully relaxing time staying here. Beautiful house, grounds and views! We were a family ranging in ages from 11 to 70 and 2 dogs who loved the space! The house is at the end of a lane so it was very private. Olivier was very easily reachable by text/phone if we needed him. The house is well set up to accommodate 2 different families in either end of the house for sleeping. Castlenaud village is a short drive where they have a lovely bakery and a couple of restaurants. Perfect stay, just what we needed!

There was nobody present at arrival and departure but that was no problem as owner Oliver was in time to leave instructions by phone and app. The house from 1776 on a big domain is really a part of how paradise should be. Calm, space, clean air, great views. It is a wonderful experience to see full moon over the swimming pool - and hear from time to time the sound of some deer in the woods - and for the rest: silence. In the house you will find enough stuff in the kitchen to make proper meals. Well, on some days we had dinner in the Basque restaurant in Castelnaud. Very good! The surroundings offer a lot to discover. We prolonged our stay with 3 nights to 11 nights and concluded we must come back several times more to visit all those nice and interesting places. We have travelled a lot in France. For us the Perigord Noir is one of the most beautiful and interesting parts of the country.

As our stay was fine we booked + 3 nights. It was prolongation, but we had to pay again the 'frais' at Abritel. Our question about this was never answered. Sad!

We were party of three adults and three children and loved our stay at Oliver's property, the house is in the countryside so a car is essential but the the village of Castelnaud la chappelle and the Dordogne river with all its activities is only a few mins drive away. The house is tastefully decorated, the kitchen is well stocked and the beds were comfortable. There is no air conditioning but the house temperature remained reasonably pleasant and there is of course the large pool which the kids really made use of. Even though the house is set away, we felt it was centrally located in Perigord Noir to access the surrounding towns and villages. Oliver the owner was available when required by telephone and to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Overall, I would recommend Olivers house for a great stay in the Dordogne!

Séjour parfait, l'impression d'être seul au monde est vraiment agréable, surtout qu'il y avait un monde fou dans la ville cuisine pratique un plus pour la grande piscine et les serviettes de plage. Chaleur écrasante mais vue au top. Séjour très sympa avec nos enfants.

Une maison au charme et à la vue splendide qui nous a permis de nous reposer au calme avec nos 4 enfants, un havre de paix qui nous a ressourcés avec la nature environnante et surtout une maison fonctionnelle, merci également aux propriétaires de leurs disponibilités pour répondre à nos demandes et surtout à nous présenter le Périgord et ses alentours, belle maison au charme périgourdin, grande et agréable, nous reviendrons....
