PROVENCE: HOUSE IN LES SALLES/VERDON, 400 M FROM LAC DE SAINTE-CROIX, GORGES DE L'OUEST

Really great place, location and fabulous facilities. Good communication with host and a really nice place to stay.

We had an excellent summer stay at the property. The nearby large land beautiful lake offers many opportunities for swimming, canoing, (electric) boating, sailing. The canyon is splendid and can be explored in many ways.

This house in the centre of Les Salles-sur-Verdon is comfortable, spacious and very well equipped. The garden offers many places to sit and enjoy. Communication with the owners was very easy and quick. The location is great, just a couple of minutes walk to shops and restaurants and <10 minutes to the lake which is great for swimming and a variety of water sports.

We stayed here for one week. The weather was very sunny and warm, the last two days 36 degrees and especially on friday very moisty. Then there was no wind. Fortunately there two ventilators. The sleepingrooms were on the first floor and very warm. The kitchen equipment was excellent. The shower in the cellar was also excellent, because the bathroom on the first floor was rather small. A negative point is the toilet in the livingroom, because the entrance is in the livingroom. The refrigerator, the dishwasher and the washing machine were good. It was nice to sit and eat in the garden or on the terrace. We had a negative experince with madama Defosse when she inspected the house before leaving. We were astonished because she was very kind and helpfull and the reception and during our stay. She seemed angry and talked to us in very rapid French, so we could nog understand her. That was a bit disappointing experience. Overall we had a very nice stay.
