Rare: Air-conditioned house, sleeps 4 - historic center

Amazing location right in the heart of Ajaccio right by the market and the harbour. The host lives 90 minutes away and therefore a concierge service handles the logistics locally.Unfortunately, we experienced some logistical issues and a difficult host. One bed was broken and unusable. The host offered to inspect and repair, however there is only one copy of the house key, which which was in our possession as guests.To facilitate a repair, the host expected us to either remain in the house during the day or leave the key at a local restaurant. However, the restaurant closes at 8:00 PM, meaning we would have had to cut our day trips short just to retrieve our own key. It was unreasonable to ask guests to sacrifice vacation time to manage a maintenance issue and a lack of spare keys.In the end, the repair did not happen and a guest had to sleep on a mattress on the floor for the duration of our stay.While a small refund was eventually provided after much back-and-forth, the host’s overall "stinginess" with basic essentials like towels and toilet paper added friction to the whole experience.
