Ravissant cottage de vacances, près de la côte de Granit Rose.

Marvellous! The best host ever! We had a fantastic time, thanks to Hamish, Honey, Barncat, Karen and Terry! 😁 Could have stayed there for some more weeks.

The house was lovely, very nicely situated in a beautiful area. We did some great hikes from out the cottage and visited lots of beautiful towns, like Paimpoll, Tréquien and Dinan. Karen and Terry are great hosts! They are helpful with everything and we loved the dogs, especially Honey.

We spent 12 days in Karen and Terry's lovely gite in July. We had a fantastic time! The gite is spacious and practically laid out for a group of 4, impeccably clean, and well equipped. All appliances were spotless and worked perfectly. We so enjoyed coming back to the house every night after exploring the surroundings - it is such a place of peace and quiet, just so relaxing. The location is perfect with short distances to any number of gorgeous beaches around. We are absolutely considering coming back next year, and can only highly recommend the gite and Karen and Terry's warm hospitality!

The week we stayed in l'Etable was really wonderful. The cottage is comfortabel, the beds are super and the garden is private. The weather was great so we lived there most of the time. Terry and Karen gave us a warm welkom. We were also pleasantly surprised by the basket with food and drinks at the table. They are animallovers so our two dogs got also enough attention. The whole week they were standby for all the qustions we had about trips, attractions and so on. We had a very good and professional bodymassage by Karen and our last evening our hosts cooked us a lovely dinner, served on our own terrace! The possibility of those two things (massage and dinner) really upgraded our holiday. Brittany is beautiful, we will be back and when we do, it will be certainly be at Karen and Terry's.

This is not the first time we have stayed here, and it most certainly won't be our last. the gite has everything one could possibly want....and more. Terry and Karen are never intrusive, but always available should they be needed. The description was absolutely accurate, the property was immaculately clean, and we had a wonderful time. The restaurants around and about are all first class....Treguier is well worth a visit or three as is Pontrieux. Paimpol another lovely place to spend a day, and the coast line is out of this world. It is a good place for adults, and thrilling for children. I most certainly would, indeed have, recommended it to friends, plus we have already booked to come back next year!!

We arrived expecting to find a run of the mill gite and were blown away by the quality and style of our accommodation, the bedroom and bathroom were what you'd get in a boutique hotel. Our hosts were as welcoming and friendly as their little dogs Branston and Pickle and nothing is too much trouble for them. The surrounding area is peaceful and beautiful. All mod cons in a truly stunning gite. If you book you will not be disappointed!

Last year my wife and I spent a fortnight in June staying in the one bedroom gite. This time we returned to stay in the three bedroom accommodation. We were joined by friends belatedly celebrating their ruby wedding anniversary. Once again we received the warmest of welcomes on our arrival. The property is spacious with plenty of room to cater for a small to medium sized family or, as in our case, two couples. The living and dining area is comfortably furnished, with a settee and two arm chairs and a dining room table with benches and chairs. The kitchen area has a full sized hob and oven, although we found the fridge rather small for the size of our party – we needed to shop every other day and the fridge was crammed. It would have been helpful to have a freezer rather than the integral ice box to store ice cream, ice cubes and frozen meat. There was adequate crockery although not enough to justify the daily use of the dishwasher. The bathroom upstairs was perfectly acceptable with a sink, bath and shower over. The sides of the bath were rather high which might be an issue for anyone with limited mobility. There is a separate toilet. Downstairs there is a shower room and a toilet. There is no hand basin, so washing hands was done at the kitchen sink. There was always ample hot water at a very reasonable pressure. The beds are firm and the black out on the velux windows is very helpful with the long, light evenings, meaning we sometimes got up rather late. The wi-fi was effective on windows devices but we never got my android device to work at all. There are UK terrestrial channels on the TV if that is important – we only tended to watch the news to find out about the implications of militant action at Calais on our return travel plans. Externally, there is a small, south-facing garden with a patio set and parasol. The paintwork is rather tired and I’m sure it’s on the owners’ job list to freshen it up in brighter colours. There is so much to see in this part of Brittany – we especially enjoyed cycling on quiet lanes. There are lots of sandy beaches, all quite different and with their particular charms. Once again I would like to thank the owners for helping to make our holiday such a memorable one. The kindness and friendliness of the owners was a significant factor in our decision to make our return visit – something we almost never do.

We took the ferry to Cherbourg and the drive to the gite took about 4 hours with a stop for lunch. The gite was exactly as described and the hosts Karen and Terry were a delight, as is their gite. All mod cons and the wi-fi was a godsend for the teenagers in our party. The local area is beautiful with plenty of interesting places to visit all within a short distance. The coast line is stunning and everywhere surprisingly empty considering the time of year. As a base to visit the region difficult to beat this gite or location and we all sincerely hope to visit again.
