Tout très bien : extérieur très sympa pour jouer au ballon au Ping pong avec le soleil toute la semaine ... Ensuite intérieur spacieux avec télé peu utilisée c'est très bien aussi ... Feu de cheminée... Formidable ! Et au calme ! Accès aux pistes de ski et au centre ville très aisés. Garage nickel pour remorque et voiture ...

Idéalement placée dans un charmant et paisible quartier du centre-ville d’Argelès, chaleureuse location très fonctionnelle avec un agréable jardin et vue sur les montagnes ! Services et commerces joignables à pied ! Nous y retournerons avec plaisir lors d’un prochain séjour dans cette séduisante vallée !

My wife and I had a wonderful cycling and walking holiday in Argelès Gazost. The house is in a peaceful location on the edge of the town but just a 5 minute stroll to all the amenities. The house had everything we needed and the grounds provided a variety of areas to sit out, to eat and to enjoy the views.

Let me begin with a word to first-time foreign visitors to the French Pyrenees. This region was never one of the wealthier areas of France. So if you are looking for accommodation suitable for a Russian oligarch on the Côté dAzure, this is not your place. What one finds here is good, comfortable, honest housing close to unspoiled nature. The Pyrenees are nowhere near as developed as the French Alps and , in our opinion, that’s a good thing. With regard to La Balandrette, the reception and location were perfect. The house itself also has many virtues. We especially appreciated the parking garage in high summer, especially on market days when parking and traffic in Argeles-Gazost can be very difficult. The garden spaces around the house were just wonderful. Multiple mountain views with several options for outdoor dining. The house is generously supplied with towels and bedding and the wifi was first-class. We found the upstairs bedrooms to be quite warm during the heatwaves this summer despite the excellent fans provided by the Burgues family. But the house was obviously not originally built with climate change in mind, so you adjust. We used the downstairs bedroom which was pleasant and cool. The only points for house improvement we would cite would be the need to update the plumbing fixtures in the bathrooms, especially the downstairs shower. Overall, an excellent experience, and we would gladly return. Highly recommended.

Emplacement idéal pour visiter les 3 plus beaux lieux du secteur à voir : pic du midi à environ 1h, pont d'Espagne et cirque de Gavarnie à environ 30min. Centre-ville très proche avec supérette, boulangerie, boucher etc, mais rue du logement très calme. Parking facile sur la place en bas de la rue ou dans le garage. Maison bien équipée.

A characterful property in a fabulous location (walking distance to town centre, and great road access from in and out of town), and stunning views of the surrounding mountains and nearby gardens. Interior remains as shown in the photos, with some decor and fittings a bit dated (although this added to the character for us). It would be a tight space if fully occupied with 6 adults, but there is plenty of outside space in the garden and porch. There was a lovely welcome from the local agent and it was useful to know there was a local contact. We had a wonderful time there and would go back!
