Renovated house from the 18th on the ramparts of the city of Vauban Briancon

Very quirky house that makes for a fantastic experience. This house is certainly different and as long as you aren't expecting high end luxury you should have a great time. Be aware there are a lot of stairs and that these are not very child safe with big drops and low guardrails. Kitchen is very well stocked with equipment that makes catering for large groups of possible. There is also plenty of seating in the dining room.If you are skiing then the house is not walkable to the lift hub. It may look a short distance on the map but the huge height difference means you will want to drive. This is fine though as all lift hubs in the resort except Briançon have free parking. I would recommend driving down to Monetier for the best runs! The house has a boot room but sadly no heated boot racks.

Fun historic house close to cafes and restaurants. Many levels and bedrooms make this a great stay. Cate was super responsive and professional. We would definitely return.

We hadden een super skivakantie in dit idyllische sprookjeshuis. We waren met 3 gezinnen: 6 volwassenen en 8 kinderen. Door de vele kamers hadden we ruimte zat; we richtten zelfs een van de kamers in als droogkamer. Door de vele sanitaire voorzieningen liep 's morgens en 's avonds alles vlotjes om iedereen klaar te maken zonder te moeten wachten op een vrije douche of toilet. We kookten zelf in de keuken, die ruim voorzien is om te koken voor een grote groep. Eten deden we in eetzaal boven, waar we makkelijk allen aan tafel konden zitten. Het huis is bovendien gelegen in echt authentiek stadje, dat zelfs behoort tot Werelderfgoed van UNESCO. Om ons te verplaatsen naar de skilift Prorel, gebruikten we onze 2 eigen camionettes. Met 1 cammionette reden we tot aan de achterdeur van het huisje om alle skimateriaal in te laden. In de buurt van de lift vonden we makkelijk parkeerplaats. Er zijn ook bussen die naar de lift rijden, maar dat gaf ons iets minder flexibiliteit. De hostess Kate was steeds heel vriendelijk en reageerde heel snel op al onze vragen. We overwegen nu al om opnieuw te boeken voor volgend jaar! Bedankt! Nous avons passé de vacances au ski dans cette maison idyllique. Nous étions 3 familles : 6 adultes et 8 enfants. Grâce á nombreuses chambres, nous avions vraiment beaucoup d'espace; nous avons même aménagé une des pièces en salle de séchage. Grâce aux nombreux sanitaires, tout s'est bien déroulé le matin et le soir pour préparer tout le monde sans avoir à attendre une douche ou des toilettes. Nous avons cuisiné nous-mêmes dans la cuisine, qui est bien équipée pour cuisiner pour un grand groupe. Nous avons mangé dans la salle à manger à l'étage, où nous pouvions tous facilement nous asseoir à table. La maison est également située dans une ville vraiment authentique, qui appartient même au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO. Pour nous rendre au téléski du Prorel, nous avons utilisé nos 2 vans. Avec 1 cammionette, nous sommes allés à la porte arrière de la maison pour charger tout le matériel de ski. Nous avons trouvé un parking facile près du téléski. Il y a aussi des autobus qui vont au téléski, mais cela nous a donné un peu moins de flexibilité. L'hôtesse Kate était très sympathique et a répondu très rapidement à toutes nos questions. Nous envisageons déjà de réserver à nouveau pour l'année prochaine! Merci!

Waren mit 7 Freunden in dem Objekt. Hatten viel Platz, jeder konnte ein Zimmer beziehen. Toll: Haus ist drei Meter breit, hat aber 10 Stockwerke. Liegt ideal in der Altstadt von Briancon. Gerne wieder!

Séjour très agréable dans ce logement bien équipé pour y recevoir de grandes familles ou de grands groupes d’amis!!! Descriptif tout à fait conforme à ce que l’on a trouvé dans cette immense maison. Elle est très bien située que ce soit pour visiter là ville à pieds ou pour aller visiter lés alentours. Vue magnifique le matin en se levant sur la montagne enneigée.

Une maison atypique et chaleureuse , tout est conçu pour le confort d'un groupe. Bien située face aux fortifications , calme et vraiment sympa.

Really nice place in the cute old town. It was a great base for cycling trips into the mountains, though i think the kids liked the house as much as the mountains.

Really good accommodation for our group of 13 (4 Families) for our skiing holiday. Kate was brilliant and met us on arrival. Even though we were much earlier than check in time we could leave our bags to go and sort lift passes / skis / ski school etc. The house had everything we needed, There are loads of bedroom and bathrooms (the kids all wanted to sleep in the same room), the kitchen is really well stocked for large groups. Its also really nice to relax in the lounge on the top floor around the log burning stove after a hard days skiing. Would I recommend this place - YES
