😊: The location was very good and exactly the area of Sète we wanted to be in. The villa is situated in a quiet area, which we appreciated, and the setting had the potential to make for a very enjoyable stay.. 😢: Unfortunately, our stay was seriously affected by a significant insect infestation in the main bathroom next to the master bedroom, which we reported immediately on arrival. This was not a minor issue. There were insects in the bathroom, a strong unpleasant smell, dead insects after treatment, and chemical products were applied during our stay. A pest-control contractor later attended and indicated that further investigation would be required, which would involve the removal of the bathroom ceiling panels - remarkably, the managing agent's expectations were that we (the holiday makers) coordinate/oversee the contractor conducting these works. Suffice to say, this situation caused us considerable disruption and loss of enjoyment during our one-week holiday. A further material concern is how the issue was dealt with by the managing agent. We cooperated with the arranged pest-control attendance and made keys available, but were later accused of obstructing the intervention and of leaving the property early, both of which we strongly dispute. We remained at the villa until our scheduled checkout, handed the keys over in person, and were told everything was satisfactory. A partial refund was provided, but in our view it did not adequately reflect the seriousness of the infestation, the disruption caused, or the poor way the matter was handled by the managing agent. Future guests may wish to confirm before arrival that the bathroom infestation and any underlying cause have been fully resolved before booking..
