Spa Gaalor - Jacuzzi Sauna à Rouen

😊: Beautiful design with the stone walls and set up. Instructions were clear and the house was peaceful. The sauna worked well, kitchen items worked, there was coffee, tea, oil and salt etc available. Even shampoo and soap were available.. 😢: The room downstairs near the sauna was too warm for our comfort, we were missing bowls in the kitchen. There was a cover for the window on the outside, but we couldn't figure out how it worked. You need to be with 2 people for check in if you are with a car, as one needs to collect the carpark card while the other waits outside the fenced off city part without being able to park somewhere shortly..

😊: The spa and the sauna and the location. Bed was also rather comfortable.. 😢: It wasn’t very clean with cleaning equipment like mops and cloths looking really dirty. Floors felt greasy to walk on. Shower didn’t feel clean. Smelt like wee next to downstairs bed. 1 toilet for 6 people makes it a bit tough as is the fact that the toilet is up stairs from the main room. Floor gets quite wet downstairs and there aren’t mats..

😊: Property could have been very good but issues with it and then the lack of follow up afterwards were very poor.. 😢: Dirty underwear left in the property on the floor shows it had not been cleaned properly. The sauna was broken with a temporary wooden door that didnt seal properly so one half was cold and the other half heated up. The broken glass door was on the street outside which was a risk to car tyres as well. When I contacted the property afterwards there was no response. Booking.com have also been useless in sorting this out..

😊: Very good location great amenities especially the jacuzzi and the sauna such a quirky place to stay definitely recommend 👍🏻.

😊: It’s a wonderful spot and a unique space to stay.. 😢: We stayed 2 years ago and loved it, it seems the host has lost interest since and it has deteriorated somewhat. It was clean ish, but damp smelling throughout. Parking was a massive pain, the instructions very unhelpful and the space behind a bollard in a pedestrian zone that we couldn’t access. In the end we parked on the street for €3.80, we could have saved a lot of stress by just doing this straight away. The host was not helpful with the parking issue when I messaged him. It’s clear this is a frequently arising issue so perhaps he could address it. The TV also didn’t really work, we could only get 1 channel. I’m not sure if the sauna works, it took a long time to heat up and then seemed to switch itself off. The jacuzzi was highly chlorinated and didn’t smell great. We were really excited to return here and pretty disappointed with the experience. We won’t return..

Great space. Loved the basement...<br>#128578; It was just as described. The host was very communicative. He was flexible and easy to talk to.<br>#128577; There was a small issue with the sauna door but the host let us know and it wasn’t an issue for us.

Amazing Place with Sauna, Hot...<br>#128578; This is probably the coolest place that we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in a lot of 5 star hotels. Everything about this place was amazing. The hot tub and the sauna were spectacular. The glass floor was a really nice touch and the bedroom in the cellar was almost like a fairytale it was so nice. The water heater was great, which is not always the case when staying in France and the shower was also very nice. What a great place to stay.
