Spacious and warm house of 400 m², well equipped and comfortable!

For us as a family, eight children under twelve and ten adults, this was an almost perfect family holiday location with ample space in the house for everyone. Mirielle the housekeeper was helpful and welcoming on our arrival and things only got better. The elegant house is tastefully decorated, spacious and amazingly well equipped, with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. You can even glimpse the sea from one of the top floor bedrooms. Comfortable beds and modern bathrooms complete the picture. The children in particular enjoyed talking to the horses in the neighbouring paddock, building a den underneath the trees and playing football, tag and hide and seek in the spacious garden. There is a boulangerie and a bar in walking distance and beautiful beaches just a short drive away. What more could you ask for? Thank you Regine for sharing your family home.

The furnishings, crockery, utensils etc in the house are all rather tired. The house was not particularly clean when we arrived - especially irritating as a hefty non optional charge was made for cleaning on top of the advertised rent. Sheets and towels were not included in the rental, so some of our party paid extra to hire these. The sheets supplied were appalling - old, worn and mis-matched. Only one towel per person was provided - no hand towels. The owner of the house was very difficult to deal with. She required us to sign a letting contract, sent to us in French. It contained errors and onerous clauses which we struggled to understand. She would not supply a floorplan of the house which made it very difficult to work out the location of bedrooms and bathrooms in advance of our stay. More than a week after our holiday had ended we received an extremely unpleasant email from the owner making completely false accusations of damage caused by us at the property. We will certainly not return to this property.

We've just returned from our 3rd stay in this lovely house so you could say that we are fans of the place. We are 8 adults and 8 children from four families. It is well equipped with cupboards full of plates, serving bowls and cutlery, two ovens, a microwave and a large hob. There's a table large enough for 8 in the kitchen and one large enough for 16+ in the lounge so that we could all eat together. Being arranged over 4 floors means that there's plenty of space and 4 of the double bedrooms have reasonably new ensuite bathrooms. We had all of the children sleeping on the top floor, the only downside being the thundering of 8 sets of feet in the morning! The outside space is vast and there are football goals and a trampoline to use. The table tennis in the basement was well used also. There are horses in the fields surrounding the house and the pony at the front is particularly popular with the girls. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

We had a great week in this beautiful house! Our group consisted of 8 adults and 5 small children. The interaction with the owner and the people locally was very easy, and all the people that we met were all very friendly and very helpful to us. The house was very well equipped and also for the children there were a lot of things to play with. They really enjoyed the trampoline at the back of the house. Overall, the spacious house and the very large private garden were well above our expectation. It definitely is a great place to stay for adults and also for children (even very little ones): it is a very nice and safe place. Our compliments!
