Spacious chalet (8p-2bath; 150m2) surrounded by nature at the foot of the Sancy

All in all a lovely place to stay in great location with easy access to the mountains, lakes and other tourist destinations. A couple of glitches that need to be fixed up. Positives - Lovely rustic chalet with great views and only a few minute walk from the little village of Tour d'Auvergne. Plenty of room for the 5 of us in both bedrooms and living space. Great views sitting outside for dinner. Supplied with all kitchen equipment you could need. Very clean, neat and tidy. Easy to get in touch with owner. The owner was very helpful when my phone would not work properly and contacted the local person to come and do the final inspection. Negatives Website said sheets and duvet covers were provided but they are not. The instructions sent out a few days before said they were not provided. This did not help my friends who were already travelling. Instructions were provided in French only and when I asked for English ones it was a pretty bad Google translation. This did not help with directions as we arrived in the dark. When I organised for the local contact person to come and check the place over before we left I was told there would be a 60 euro cleaning charge. This was not mentioned on the website or the instructions or in any fees payable. When I pointed this out I was told that it was on the French booking site but I had used the English one. This needs to be fixed up and made more transparent on the website. We cleaned the house ourselves and did not pay the fee.
