Spacious Luxury countryside retreat

😊: Lovely property, very well appointed and in a peaceful location at the edge of a pretty village. The owner was very responsive and helpful. There were lots of places to visit, including small towns such as Clecy and Falaise and the Normandy D-Day beaches.. 😢: The local village did not have any shops, but the supermarket was just 15 minutes drive away. Unfortunately, due to the drought (Summer 2026), the local lakes and rivers had high levels of bacteria so swimming and kayaking were restricted and not advised. This was disappointing but there were lots of other activities in the area to enjoy..

😊: The property was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Open plan downstairs, with very comfortable sofas, cushions and blankets. A large dining table and a fabulous kitchen. There is also a small gym and a downstairs bathroom. Three lovely bedrooms upstairs, the master bedroom has a small en-suite and tall windows looking out to the trees and countryside. There is also a bathroom upstairs with a large jacuzzi bath. Lots of garden furniture outside with views towards the neighbours garden and their lovely pigs, goats and chickens as well as the countryside around. We really loved the house as it felt like coming into a home. We were also welcomed with some tourist guides, local cider and Normandy biscuits. Tea, coffee and Hot chocolate were all supplied as well as herbs and seasoning.. 😢: I would have liked an airer to dry clothes on and an iron and ironing board..
