Everything about le Minotorie

Our family of 17 people across three generations descended on the property for the first week of July 2025. The space suited us perfectly. There are enough washrooms to keep everybody happy. All in beautiful shape and clean. Comfortable beds. Lots of play space for the kids - inside and out. We had the use of two kitchens and dining areas. Very handy for our dinners.Great location for access to St-Malo, Cancale, Fougeres, Mont-St-Michel. Bayeux and the Normandy beaches are about an hour away. And the property location provides privacy. But note, the property is in a valley which means you can’t easily walk or bike into St James for your morning pastries. Less than a 5-minute drive though.

We are a 4 generation family that stayed 5 days and had the most wonderful time. The house comfortably accommodated 14 of us ranging in age from 2 - 79 years. The views are amazing and there is a large yard with a trampoline and swing set that entertained our younger ones for many hours. The 2 kitchens are well equipped and it is a nice walk to the lovely village. I highly recommend this rental.

We had a wonderful time. The house was nicer than expected. The furnishings are much better than most vacation rentals. Outside its beautiful, peaceful and fun. Our familyreally enjoyed it.

We spent 7 nights at the moulin as a group of 5 families. The beds were super comfortable. The property is well equipped and had everything we needed. Lots of chairs for inside and outside. A fantastic games room. WiFi worked really well too. Lots of bathrooms and toilets. All the required kitchen equipment and lots of it. It was nice to be within walking distance of St James. The little town has a carrefour express, cheese and wine shop, butchers, restaurants, little bars, vets and a hospital. The large garden with a trampoline was well used by the kids, as we're the goal posts. There is even a little stream at the bottom where we bathed on a hot day. All in all, a wonderful holiday home. We were a group of 13 friends enjoying a one-week get together with lots of activities in and around the house and splendid weather. La Minoterie was the perfect place for us, offering a long list of amenities and, above all, plenty of kitchen space for the wonderful chef-à-domicile Sébastien Godefroy and his wife Holly. They provided us with three lavish dinners and an in-depth introduction into Normandy specialites with detailed comments in French and English. He had been recommended by the tourist office, but he is also on Facebook or Linkedin.

We are a large family with 4 Children and 9 Grandchildren and wanted to celebrate my 70th and my Husbands 70th, which was in lockdown. The house was perfect for the 3 generations and the garden was safe for even the youngest 5 year olds to play so that the adults could relax. The facilities for the children and adults was fantastic, with a trampoline, football goals, volleyball net and the boule court and a games room. The weather was amazing and we eat outside every day, there was plenty of everything we needed. We were able to get fresh bread and croissants at the local boulangerie. The beds were super comfortable and it was so peaceful that we slept really well. Altogether an amazing holiday in a wonderful house.

La Minoterie is situated in a lovely location, minutes walk from the quiet village of St James. The house is very well equipped from the kitchen area to the games room in the basement. The property is ideal for a family reunion or a get together for a group of friends.
