😊: These people do bad business and are not trustworthy. If you stay a night or two fine but to be taken advantage of and caused stress over a few days and at New Years – no i did not want to leave a bad review but when i am taken advantage of and disrespected and waste my time and money- it has to be said These hosts do not know what they are doing and they take advantage of their guests Read below…. I booked this studio for 5 nights in early Decembe. I extended my stay once there for another week so in total i was there 11 nights. They did not offer to clean , nor to change sheets which is customary for a week or more long stay. There was no wine ( this is Bordeaux area by the way ) nor welcome desert , a customary thing anywhere i go in Europe. i liked that it was detached and private and quiet and on the river, so i could sleep. There is no light outside so hard to get in at night and the mud as there is no walkway from the car area to the guest cottage was an issue. I did not slip, which could be a huge issue for these hosts but i ruined 2 pairs of shoes. Put some pieces of rock or shale down as a path, takes a few hours from a diy store. I had requested to rent it on non vacation rental for Feb and March 2024. As stated, I liked the detached and quiet albeit the other issues. I left a 400 euro cash deposit and paper we signed. I had to change plans unexpectedly and gave 5 weeks notice that i would not be coming back. Firstly, Samuel did not answer my email. Then he was rude in email, then he stated he would not refund me--- this chain of 20 emails went on for 4 days of my time nd stress really bad business !!!! - i had even offered originally 100 euros because i could not come but afer his rude emails and stating i was a. bad guest ? that they had to wash the silverware?? i left no dishes, and have had no complaints before . i do think that might be part of the job of renting a place --- anyhow i stated i need the full deposit i back.. 😢: It was only when i stated i had a notary in Bordeaux and knew about buying and renting that he then said he paid the 300 euro back to my account. Samuel took advantage and kept the 100 euros and i had to fight to get my deposit back by giving 5 weeks notice which at any hotel, or airb n b is more than ample time. He wasted my time and did not even apologize I am owed the 100 back and i am owed 2 pairs of shoes from mud and wasting my time and stress so not ok to be hosts like this do not get taken advantage of by a young arrogant French male who does not speak English ..
