😊: Reasonably good location for walking to sites. 😢: Bed a little uncomfortable. Front door to building lock not working.

😊: The Apartment is reasonably well equipped and comfortable, WiFi is good. It is conveniently located in a quiet area and in close walking distance to the old city. We had no problem to find an appropriate parking lot nearby.. 😢: In spite of the standard and friendly E-mails sent automatically, the host was not accessible, no response via E-mail, telephone call, or SMS, nothing. We faced problems entering the room and we were forced to solve the situation completely on our own. This is not acceptable. Don't forget to take earplugs with you: the refrigerator located directly beside the pillow is not real fun at night..

😊: Convenient location relative to the castle. Fresh renovation, and that's it. I reserved this apartment for one night to get some sleep. It didn't work out.. 😢: Check-in was possible only after 17:30. When we entered, we found dirty linens on one of the beds. It was stained, with cigarette holes in places. There are seat marks on the edge of the bed. There are a few short black hairs on the sheet. When we informed the owner, he replied that the linen was clean, the cleaning lady could just sit on it. He explained the stains with concern for the ecology. He said he couldn't fix anything, he couldn't come, and the cleaning lady couldn't come either. I requested a cancellation without penalty. But Dylan didn't approve. He stopped responding to the claims. It was my worst booking experience ever..

😊: The property is conveniently located close to the town centre and the Carcassonne castle. While there is no private car park available, it is easy enough to find a parking space in the streets. Dylan (the owner) was very responsive and provided frequent updates/reminders prior and during the stay. The kitchen had all the necessary appliances needed Overall I had a nice stay, Carcassonne is great. 😢: Somehow, I struggled with the futon mattress (hope it was futon) which I did not find comfortable I also could not locate the kettle which seemed to have been included in the inventory for the property (it might I did not look properly enough) but the stove was very efficient to boil the water for my tea which I found adequate enough As someone else pointed out, there was a smell coming from the shower which could be looked into :-).
