STUDIO PORT THONON-LES-BAINS EMBARCADÈRE-CGN FUNICULAIRe

😊: This is a lovely little studio right in the heart of the port area of Thonon. The space has been well thought out and designed by the owners and it provides a great base to explore the area. There is basic amount of cooking equipment which is fine for breakfast and the odd meal, but it would be a challenge to cook here every night for more than 2 people. We had a lovely, relaxing stay and enjoyed exploring the Thonon area, taking a boat trip and swimming in the lake (make sure to go beyond the municiple plage to the pebble lakeshore beaches which are a gorgeous free swimming spot).. 😢: Although it says it can sleep up to 4, in reality, if you use the sofa bed as we did, there is very little room to move around the apartment once this is out, with very little room to store suitcases. You certainly don't have floor space to keep a suitcase open on the floor and there isn't enough hanging / shelf space to empty and store belongings for 3 people either. It is a SMALL studio and perfectly suited for a couple on a short break, but a bit of a challenge with a parent and 2 teenagers for 4 nights as part of a longer holiday. We also struggled to dry swimming costumes and towels overnight as there was no airer to use..
