😊: My fundamental complaint is with Booking.com for not clearly flagging that this was an airbnb, with no on site host, incredibly confusing access details which are not sent till day of arrival, onerous responsibilities for potential guests (eg $190 deposit to cover potential damage) and no recourse for guest who wakes up to discover the apartment next door is being gutted by power drills etc. Agency staff did their best to find alternative accommodation but my few days in Lille were dominated by the failure of Booking.com to alert me to these realities.. 😢: As above.
