Stylish living in the village square with a large terrace overlooking the Morvan

The property was everything the ad said. Well equipped and stylish furnishing and decor. The village is very quiet - one restaurant and a tea room/brocante. Well located to many places if you have a car. Also good for walks around local lanes and villages.

Das Ferienhäuschen von Frau Baulan liegt sehr ruhig, ist wunderschön eingerichtet und hat alles, was man für einen entspannten Ferienaufenthalt braucht. Frau Baulan ist eine sehr freundliche, angenehme und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Im nahegelegenen Etang-sur-Arroux bekommt man alles, was man für den täglichen Bedarf braucht. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Frau Baulan ist eine sehr nette Vermieterin, die sich schnell kümmerte, wenn es Probleme gab. Wir haben uns in ihrem geschmackvoll eingerichtetem Häuschen wohl gefühlt und die Ruhe des Ortes und der Umgebung genossen.

Lovely quiet village. Host on hand to give advice and enthuse about local attractions. Ideal for relaxing, reading and short tours. House has all you require with the plus point of no tele! A must visit for all francophiles.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette maison élégamment décorée et bien équipée. La situation au calme offrant une belle vue sur la campagne et le Mont Beuvray est idéale pour découvrir le Morvan. La disponibilité et la gentillesse de notre hôte ont contribués à rendre le séjour très agréable.

So etwas entspannendes und entschleunigendes haben wir lange nicht erlebt. Die Ruhe im Dorf bei pechschwarzen Nächten, da alle die Beleuchtung ausschalten, ist ein Erlebnis, trotzdem nie langweilig. Die Umgebung mit leichten, tiefgrünen Hügeln, die von weissen Punkten, die vielen Rinder bewohnt sind. Das Haus ist ein Traum, liebevoll in allen Details eingerichtet, viel Platz und wenn es kalt wurde, gibt es einen Kamin (eine Elektroheizung mögen wir nicht), der es heimelig warm macht, bei Nachtemperaturen von 4°C abends notwendig.

Wir ein paar Traumhafte Tage in der Unterkunft hinter uns. Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, auch wenn die Erholung auf Grund der viele. Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung weniger war als erhofft, es gab einfach viel zu entdecken! Auf jeden Fall buchen!

We drove across France for a stay in the Morvan region and arrived tired at the Old Forge having picked up some groceries in Etang sur Arroux on the way. The house and location did not disappoint. Comfortable and well equipped, with the most stunning view of the nearby Lake and surrounding countryside, it was immediately relaxing and we felt very at home. There is plenty to see and do in the area, more than we could possibly fit in to the seven days we were there. I was worried our 11 year old would find it a bit too quiet but he really enjoyed the places we visited, particularly Bibracte, the site of an important Gaullish/Roman settlement which was about 40 mins drive away. He also enjoyed swimming in Lac des Settons and discovering about Romans in Autun! Closer to home, there were lovely walks to be had straight from the door and if course delicious food (and wine). My other half who is a "foodie" had a marvellous time sourcing ingredients to cook at home either in the kitchen or on the splendid bbq. In fact, despite the availability of some reputedly good restsurants nearby, we didn't eat out during our stay. Everyone was very friendly. Anna in particular was a superb hostess, keen to make sure we had a good time and enjoyed ourselves. She succeeded! We had a great time and were a little sad to leave our house on the hill.
