Sud Ardeche Balazuc site classé gîte de charme et caractère La Maison des Vignes

We enjoyed a peacefull holiday. The appartement was perfect for our family. The description on the website fits well. Everything indoors and outdoors was clean and in good condition. The kids enjoyed the pool a lot. The Ardeche region has a lot to offer. Veronique, the landlord, was very friendly and helpful and gave suggestions for trips in French and English.

The 'Maison des Vignes' is very tastfully decorated and with all modern facilities that one can wish for. The second floor is super spacious which was perfect as a playing room for our 20 month old daughter. Also the shutters in front of the windows not only give the rooms a lot of caracter, but also provide with darkness during the day when the little one had a nap: perfect! The showers are luxurious. We had one time a blocked drainage, but that was quickly solved by the helpfull owners. Speaking of which: the warm welcome provided by Veronique and Philippe started before out stay, when they provided us with detailled information about the region and cycling opportunities. Upon arrival (which was later than planned) they helped us unpacking the car and provided us with a tourist map for the region and good tips for exploration. The pool was clean and chairs comfortable, The water was quite cold, because of the period we travelled in, although there was no lack of sun. The views from our cottage on the surroundings was spectacular, with vineyards and hills all around us. Definitely a place to recommend and for ourselves: to go back to! The region, owners and cottage are worth it!
