THE CHARM OF THE ROCHER

Beautifully decorated property in a lovely location. The town of ares is wonderful and the house is located 300m walk to some absolutely wonderful boulangeries. The property itself is immaculately clean and is very well equipped with absolutely everything you could need for a relaxing, enjoyable stay. The kitchen has an abundance of utensils and the garden is well equipped with nice furniture and an outdoor grill. The property has 3 bikes for use which would be great for the local area although we never used them in the end. The house is very modern and tastefully decorated and was very relaxing. We stayed during a heatwave so just note that there is only aircon available in the upstairs bedroom with the single beds however Carole was very accommodating and rapidly organised for us to have a fan to utilise for our stay which was very kind.

We had a very pleasant time at this lovely little house, it’s a walking distance to the center and to the beach, really enjoyed staying there on our short trip. Thank you Carol for your welcoming.

This rental property is ideal for a family. Everything is modern and it is brilliantly equipped. It certainly surpassed our expectations . The double bed personally speaking was very comfortable the power showers fantastic. Games for the family and the children gave them things to do in their own room upstairs. On arrival we were given a warm welcome by the owner Carole, who gave us lots of info on the area. We were also grateful for the wine in the fridge! Arès is a great town. Quiet and relaxed, it has a everything you could need. The Tuesday market is fantastic and Arès' location is ideal for all the cycling paths and beyond. The oysters in Piraillan are highly recommended and we brought paddle boards along which we used here. Amazing! Lots to do in the area. The petit bassin at Saint Brise is ideal when the tide is out as it always has water. Great for kids. Beyond there is Saint Emillion, Cap Ferret, Dune du Pyla. Plage Crohot is the nearest ocean beach by bike. Our kids even managed the 8k there and back. Roads can be busy so bike whenever possible! This has been one of our favourite holidays! Merci beaucoup!
