The Gite at Chateau Magdeleine Bouhou

This is an exceptional property on a vineyard outside of Bordeaux. We found the areas of Bordeaux and Blaye convenient, friendly, historic and full of Old World Charm, while escaping the chaos of Paris. The property is well appointed, in excellent repair and offered many outdoor activities perfect for families. The outdoor wine barrel plunge pool was so much fun and bicycles for everyone to explore the vineyard and town. The groceries were 3 minutes away and it all made for a relaxing family holiday in a picturesque setting. The staff is excellent and we loved the property so much, we plan to recreate this holiday within the next few years at the same property. 5 Stars is an understatement!

Beautiful house in stunning surroundings. Very child friendly and well equipped.

This property is exactly as pictured. The home was perfect for our family consisting of my husband, our three adult daughters and their husbands, my sister and me. The home is well equipped for groups our size. The setting is absolutely beautiful. While on the property you feel secluded, but stores and restaurants are minutes away. We had one mechanical issue which was corrected in less than fifteen minutes. Our children enjoyed the tour of the winery and the wines were wonderful! Loved everything about this beautiful home.

This is essentially a house attached to a winery. Classic French stone construction With five large bedrooms and three full baths and extra toilets. The setting is beautiful and surrounded by vineyards. It has been completely renovated and is in pristine condition. Naomi was knowledgeable, very helpful and gracious. The property is even nicer than the description and the pictures portray it. If you’re traveling with children there are small bicycles as well as four adult bicycles. There is the recent addition of a plunge pool ( think US wood hot tub 4 times the diameter and depth ) . There is a large supermarket (similar to a US Walmart) approximately two minutes away by car. Drive to Blaye is approximately 5–10 minutes. I would definitely rent and stay again without reservation. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
