The Piggery is a wonderful place for a truly relaxing holiday. It is surrounded by large gardens and beautiful countryside, is well equipped and is an ideal base for exploring the tourist attractions of the Dordogne area.
Amazing
#128578; The accommodation was insulated very well and therefore it was very nice temperature inside even though it was outside very hot. There was a lovely place outside in the shadows to enjoy a book or play games together. The bed is comfortable. Nice and quiet location.
#128577; We had to improvise a curtain, otherwise the sun would wake us up.
We had an idyllic stay in 'The Piggery' at Le Verger. It is cosy and comfortable, very private and perfect for a get-away-from-it-all holiday, which is what we wanted. Uninterrupted views over beautiful rolling countryside, peaceful and unspoilt but with comfy bed and a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. We had a truly relaxing holiday, with a few days spent exploring the area with its leisure lake and original cave art. We will definitely come again.
Le Verger is a beautiful old stone maison in the French provincial style, set in glorious rolling countryside, with views of unspoilt nature all around. It is also close to pretty villages, an old forge, a leisure lake, ancient perigord towns and the Dordogne river. We loved exploring the area and the famous Lascaux caves too. The house was equipped with everything necessary for our stay including a large kitchen diner including up to date mod cons and spotless rooms with comfortable beds. We will be returning to Le Verger in future as it is perfect for our family holidays.
