The Rochepot Loft

My wife and I loved this updated unique 2 story loft on a nice square in Beaune. There is no over stating that you must enjoy the workout you'll get from climbing a gorgeous 3 flight spiral stone staircase to get to this lovely property. Once inside the sleeping area up another flight of stairs overlooking the living area in an open floor plan. Great shower! Everything is new and the entire space is 1st class. Stunning view of the clock tower through a small window. Parking was free with a provided access card. Google maps made it a challenge to drive to the loft due to use of pedestrian only zones, so plan the way in before you go. Getting to the garage with google maps was no problem. Communication with owner was excellent. Enjoy! We would stay here again for sure.

The loft was awesome with a complete kitchen and separate toilette room. Very comfortable with the bedroom on a separate mezzanine. The host(s) are great and the neighborhood can’t be beat. It is in the center of Beaune walkable to all center town attraction including Hospice de Beaune, Musèe de Vin, Wine Market. Great place to plan tours of Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune vineyards and winery tours (domaines) from. Lots of shops and restaurants as close as just out the front entrance of the building and dozens within 3 short blocks. The parking pass is also very helpful if you have a car. The only small challenge, and the host is clear in the listing, the loft is 65 stairs up a historic staircase. The loft is on the 3rd floor by French reconning, but those of us from North America who start counting with 1 as the ground floor know it to be the 4th floor. It was good exercise and did not slow us down.

The apartment was in an excellent location, right near everything to see in Beaune. It was very spacious and clean. The large shower was much appreciated after a week in hotels, and the washer/dryer let us reset with all clean luggage. We wouldn’t change anything about our stay, and we will definitely look for this booking when we come back!

Owner put a lot of thought and effort into what was provided. Much appreciated! The stairs would not be for everyone, but the apartment was worth the climb!
