😊: The position! The views are simply unrivalled and the pool was excellent. The tower residence is small and rustic, but we felt comfortable. The bed was good. The site manager Marius was very helpful and kind and his responses to our questions and requests was prompt. We stayed for 6 nights during perfect summer weather. Loved watching the hot air balloons drifting across the valley.. 😢: We list the following so that future guests realistically know what to expect from this remarkable property: 1. ACCESS: The car park is located at the intersection of Rue de la Balme/Rue des Escassols/Chem. Du Crouzet so you will need to walk about 250m up a sealed narrow road then 100m down a steep cobblestone street then 100m across the site garden along a gravel track to the tower. Unless you travel very light and are fit, it is almost essential to book the EUR50 car shuttle provided by the management. Be prepared to do lots of walking up and down to access your car each day. 2. FACILITIES: See the Google Maps video for a brief tour of the Tower. The shower is small but effective. The stairs are very steep so be very careful going up and down (plenty of hand holds for balance). The kitchen is basically camp cooking only—two hot plates, three pans, minimal cutlery and crockery, good filter coffee maker (250g coffee supplied and plenty of filter cups provided but bring extra ground coffee), electric kettle, small but effective fridge, three wooden chairs and wooden table, excellent heating upstairs and down, portable fan..

😊: The views are spectacular. Comfy bed, but scary stairs to get up and down- very steep and shallow. Lovely outside table and chairs to enjoy the views. The pool is lovely to sit by. It's very secure, there's a front gate that is locked so we felt safe. There's a small kitchen which was alright - shame there wasn't an oven/microwave but the hob, kettle and coffee machine were sufficient for a few days.. 😢: The walk to the property with all your luggage is tough going - you need to be relatively fit, or stop a few times along the way. Not far, just steep both up and down. The view made that worth it though. We booked the property because it had a pool - unfortunately it wasn't clean as they had closed it the week before, but they didn't tell us that. They did send someone to look at cleaning it, but they said no. There isn't anywhere comfy to sit in the evenings other than the dining table or in bed - I understand it's a small space and there's no room for a sofa, but maybe cushions on the chairs would make it more comfy..
