Really nice house in a peaceful scenic location. Very rustic, French house. Gardens are really nice with outdoor eating areas, seating, hammocks and ping pong. Location is great for catching a train from Vernon to various places - we traveled to Rouen and Paris. Laurent as host is very pleasant, relaxed and helpful!
Despite some varied weather Laurents wonderful home and setting made up for everything. When we walked through the beautiful gates it is truly a wow moment. From the stone arbour looking over the beautiful valley to the crackle of the fire Guy Fawkes would have been proud of we had a great time. Laurent was the perfect host and provided us with any information we may have needed
This is a large 17th c house and garden with wonderful details throughout. We were a group of eight: four in their 20's, four in their 60's. There was plenty of room in the house, and there were many special areas in the garden. The countryside is just beautiful. The RER from Cergy le Haut gets you to the center of Paris. We all loved our two weeks here.
Très agréable endroit, avec beaucoup de charme et un magnifique jardin. Accueil chaleureux par le charmant propriétaire du lieu. La maison est magnifique et la décoration très recherchée. On reviendra!
Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans cette maison familiale , agréable en hiver grâce à sa cheminée et les couettes bien chaudes . Cuisine super bien équipée qui bous a permis de passer le week-end à cuisiner malgré la pluie . Dommage que cela se soit fini par un refus catégorique de la dame ouvrant la maison de nous dépanner en batterie ( estimant que cela aller lui esquinter sa voiture ....) nous avons donc passer 1 h a attendre sous la pluie qu ‘ une voiture s arrête en pleine campagne et gentiment nous dépanne !! Mais bravo au propriétaire Laurent qui a beaucoup de goût .
Tout le confort, l accueil, le charme pour passer d excellents moments en famille. Tout le monde a adoré : petits, ados, et grands. Bel environnement pour les balades. A 2 pas de Paris. Exceptionnel vraiment à tout point de vue. Et le bonheur de levé fu jour depuis la chambre!
My family and 2 other families of friends booked for a week stay. There were 6 adults and 5 children so was hoping the house would be big enough and it didn't disappoint. The kids loved the dormitory style room so they could all play together in one large room. The adults loved the large fire place and bar area. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the gadgets and the 2 dishwashers came in very handy. The kids made full use of the garden even in below freezing temperatures. The homely feel of the property made you relax and feel at ease. Michelle was welcoming and assisted us with everything in the house (even with the lack of English on her half and the lack of French on ours) The only draw back of this house is that is doesn't have a village within walking distance (it was a little too far for the kids) but we did enjoy walking around the countryside. I would definitely recommend this house as its a great winter retreat!!
La maison et l'emplacement était parfait pour notre week end au calme et pas très loin d'un RER (30min de Cergy le Haut). Les chambres sont nombreuses et la maison est idéale pour un week end entre amis avec quelques enfants, on en famille. Nous avons passé un très bon moment et n'hésiterions pas pour y revenir.
