The Gite at "La cochetiere" is a traditional large french cottage . It forms part of a very substantial working dairy farm. The owners encourage guests to help milk the cows and feed the calves.There is also a hungry horse nearby. Plenty to see and do in the lovely surrounding countryside.A very enjoyable circular " randonnee "-sign posted footpath- runs right past the farm. Or just walk the 2 kms to the local bread shop and wine bar at Le Grais..The major tourist attractions in the north of France,such as Bayeux ,Mont St Michel,Lisieux and the Normandy Embarkation Beaches are all within reasonable travelling distance. Natasha Couprit who speaks fluent english could not have done more to help us enjoy our holiday. Jean Francois was particularily concerned to assist us resolve a small problem with our elderly motor car. They are both charming people who made sure that we had a most enjoyable two weeks holiday with them. Highly recommended.
