We really enjoyed our stay at Le Genebre, with a kitchen dining space that is beautifully designed and appointed. It’s modern look works well alongside the historical charm of the original buildings. The beds are very comfortable and there are large Dyson fans in three of the rooms for warmer nights. The kitchen is filled with all mod cons and there are loads of places to sit outside in the evening. Surrounded by forest, there is a gorgeous pool and pretty courtyard between the main house and the annexe bedroom. The location feels completely secluded but you are not far from Le Bugue where there was a great market. Perfect for exploring Perigord, from Sarlat to Lascaux. The friendly, helpful owner was quick to deal with any queries we had. One thing to note is the 4th bedroom is a bunk style room, with stairs that are not suitable for very elderly or for very young guests. However this room would be perfect for groups with teenagers or older kids. Overall, a very beautiful holiday home which we will return to. Would highly recommend!

Most beautiful pair of cottages, lots of space and well set up. The fabulous lime tree was a God-send for an afternoon snooze. Nicely hidden away but 10 minutes to a good selection of restaurants. Will definitely be back if you’ll have us 💚
