Large house for 15 people near Fontainebleau, garden, ideal for family and group

We booked Un rêve de campagne to celebrate my mother’s 90 birthday and we weren’t disappointed. The house is really nice and so are the grounds. The plus points were that there is an en suite bedroom on the ground floor which was perfect for my mother and also the fact that the gardens are fully enclosed behind walls which made it safe for our 5 year old grandson (who absolutely loved the trampoline…). There is a very good range of entertainment available with table tennis, pétanque, etc and on a sunny day, the rear garden was a delight to be in. Despite being about 20 mins from Milly, we found that it was really well situated to access the climbing spots in the forest (there was 5 climbers in our party). There is a secure room in the back garden where we could leave the mountain bikes (2 were mountain bikers). All in all, it was very near to being perfect. I would definitely go back without hesitation. One last point: the communication with the owner deserves 10/10. Very helpful, fast reply. Perfect.

18 of us stayed in this lovely house for a week. We loved having the large garden, especially the outdoor games on offer. The house itself was really nice with a good size lounge, well appointed kitchen and separate dining room. The local village is very quiet and the nearest town has a great bakery and a few supermarkets. If you're visiting the area to boulder, there's one spot only a ten minute drive away (Buthiers Piscine) and many more great options within easy driving distance. The only thing I'd advise is going with a slightly smaller group, 15 max. It's really only big enough for that many as there's not quite enough spaces around the dining table nor seats in the lounge to fit 18 and three people have to sleep on mattresses on the floor. Also, 3 bathrooms between 18 is a stretch. Communicating with the owner was very easy, they were really helpful and responsive. We would happily stay here again, with a slightly smaller group!

It was like taking you back into time. Very cute cottage with lots of room for a large family. Quiet and peaceful, grocery store is about a 10 minute drive in the next closest town.

We travelled with 4 families for a few days and had a fantastic time at the residence. It has lots of space, specially for the kids, and is equipped with everything you might need. We would love to come back soon!

Very nice house, well kept and everything in running order. Location is in a tiny town with no shops, nearest markets are 6-7 k across open wheat fields. Though surrounded by farms the house is bright, clean and airy inside, not a crumbling old house at all. Excellent privacy, gated driveway and walled property with a backyard, badminton, petanque, ping pong, We never met the owner but she responded to emails right away in every case, and things went smoothly. Recommended.

We stayed for a week in may with 14 people for bouldering in Fontainebleau. The house is huge with nice and very well picked furniture and art. We enjoyed our stay and used the various games, we found in the garden. Even though we were 14 people, we never had the feeling, that it was crowded. Sandra ist very nice and was always available, when we had a question. We are planning to return next year!
