Une bouteille au canal

😊: "Une bouteille au Canal" is quirky, interesting, and has the potential to provide a truly extraordinary experience, but unfortunately, our stay was a long chain of disappointments. We chose the place because the room was described as out of the ordinary, and because the place had a restaurant that would be open the evening we were staying. An hour before our arrival, we received a message from the owner that the restaurant was closed. Instead, we were referred to the town's only other restaurant, a mediocre pizzeria about 1 km away, where we could sit outside and eat our pizzas from a cardboard box. Our stay included breakfast, which could only be served in the "room." It was delivered the next morning in paper bags. Two croissants and half a baguette. Granted, they were fresh and of good quality, but the presentation was poor. Butter, jam in plastic packaging, bottled juice, and TWO coffee capsules were already in the room when we arrived. In the room itself, there was only a single chair, so we were forced to eat our breakfast standing at the kitchen counter or sitting on the bed without a table. This is not okay!!! The carriage itself, which the room consisted of, is just under nine square meters and sparsely furnished—for example, there is no table and only a single chair. Unfortunately, it is somewhat dilapidated, and the cleaning was a bit careless. There was both mold and cobwebs on the ceiling, and the steps up to the small balcony are so rotten that they gave way under us, so we had to watch where we stepped on the rung. They will hardly last another season. All in all, I don't think it was an okay experience, and it definitely wasn't worth the money compared to the service that was delivered.. 😢: Cobwebs and fungi. Lack of indoor seating for eating. Very poor and rudimentary breakfast. Lack of maintenance - e.g. rotten stairs..

😊: We had a very nice stay in this unconventional listing. It is small but has everything you need, the stay was comfortable, it was clean, breakfast was ok. There is also a great restaurant to have a diner..

😊: I was in Toulouse during a period where there were not many options. I chose this place as the last resort option for me to sleep on a bed so was not expecting too much. It is a cosy small place, nice enough surroundings, quiet and good amenities given the size. Overall good for the price with some limitations.. 😢: During my visit there were issues with the hot water. This was not a problem for me as I often take cold showers, however it needs to be addressed. I also found insects on the bed which could be attributed to the surroundings - however it is not nice to share the bed with them! The place could be better cleaned, in particular the floors which seem to be a little greasy in some areas..
