La Fermette, the cottage that we stayed in is very picturesque and situated in the most beautiful countryside. The cottage itself is spacious with three good sized double bedrooms and is well equipped. Nearby is a village shop in Lore less than a mile away selling most essentials. Around a 15 minute drive away drive away is the beautiful medieveal hilltop town of Domfront, well worth a visit

Lovely peaceful gite with gorgeous walks nearby and great day trips within easy reach
Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et discrets. Le site est très calme pour se ressourcer. Aux alentours des randonnées et beaucoup de site à visiter . tout prêt à ne pas manquer , passer une journée à la MICHAUDIERE pour mieux connaître les chevaux et surtout les PERCHERONS, un endroit où la gaité et le gentillesse et au rendez-vous.
Nigel et Paula sont très charmants et très discrets. Nous avons passé dans leur gîte un agréble séjour. L'endroit est retiré de la circulation, très verdoyant et très calme, l'idéal pour se reposer. Les commerces sont proches.
Nous avons eu un très bon accueil de la part de Paula et Nigel, qui ont pris le temps de nous expliquer les mesures Covid, les règles concernant la propriété et ce qu'il y avait à faire aux alentours. Ce sont des gens adorables et très disponibles. Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances au calme où les enfants ont pu courir, jouer au frisbee et au ballon. Nous avons cueilli des mirabelles et des prunes pour en faire des tartes. Les enfants ont vu de toutes petites grenouilles, de magnifiques papillons et des escargots. Le matin, lorsqu'on se lève un peu tôt, nous pouvons apercevoir une biche et son faon dans la propriété. La maison est confortable et agréable à vivre. Nous avons adoré nos vacances!!!
We had a wonderful holiday at le Fresnaie in July of this year. Nigel and Pauline are very helpful, and unobtrusive hosts, and they even ordered the beautiful weather for us! I would echo the comments of Margaret and Andrew Kirby in July 2012, regarding le Fresnaie,and the thought that has gone into making it wheelchair/disabled friendly, externally as well as internally. There is so much space,again inside and out, and it's position affords lots of privacy, without feeling 'cut off'. The kitchen is well equiped, with everything you could ask for. The British T.V. was a bonus, particulary as it was Wimbledon, and Andy Murry's triumph! It was lovely to be back in France again, it was our first trip since Dave's illness left him disabled four years ago. We had many camping holidays in France in the past, and it was good to be back again,in this rural and unspoilt part of the country. Thanks to Nigel and Pauline for a lovely holiday.
We have already booked for next year. What can be be better than sitting watching bees birds red squirrels and deer on a summers day/evening with a glass of wine in your own garden? This! In their garden! Wonderful. Cottage was wonderful too but we spent most of time outside as we were lucky with weather.Gets no better than this!
