Une maison magnifique, spacieuse, récemment rénovée dans le magnifique village de Camon

Beautiful property both inside and out, beautifully clean and well presented. Liz and Colin had thought of everything, and more - the kitchen was extremely well equipped, the lounge area was comfortable with plenty of seating, bedrooms were comfortable and a good size. We also really appreciated the basket full of items that you may have forgotten to bring with you.

Having read previous reviews, we knew we were in for a treat, but just how big a treat!! Camon is just beautiful. Liz and Colin are perfect hosts who respond to every single need. The house is stunning, beautifully fitted and with every possible comfort provided (including fresh and delicious eggs from their chickens!). Liz is also an encyclopaedia of local knowledge which for us, who have never visited the area, was extremely useful. Whilst the weather was mixed (given it was early April, that was not surprising!) we managed to fill our days, either just taking it easy, walking around the areas or travelling around locally through the most beautiful scenery. One of our party - an avid cyclist - absolutely loved cycling the mountain roads! This is just an absolute gem of a property hosted by 2 very genuine and generous hosts. Thank you Liz & Colin!! We'll be back!!

We had a great stay at the gitte of Elisabeth and Collin (they are really nice!). We immediately feld at home! The house is in the lovely village Camon. There is a depot de pain, which is just around the corner. We had a great time with the life music at the Camonette. They serve good food and good music. There are nice villages around Camon but also had a great day out in les Angles (Pyrenees), Andorra and Puicerda (just across the Spanish border).

Dans un petit village charmant et dans un environnement de roses un gîte où on se sent bien. Elisabeth et Colin ont tout prévu pour faciliter notre séjour. Les détails de la décoration apportent une note d'apaisement et de confort. Rien ne manque ....au contraire, de jolies attentions attendent les hôtes.

Liz and Colin have created a wonderful home away from home with everything you could hope for to make a great holiday. We stayed as a family and the house was perfectly equipped and very spacious - providing ample space for social activities or room for everyone to have a little downtime to themselves. You could easily use the house as a family or as a group of friends travelling together. Liz and Colin really have thought of everything, from beach towels for a trip to the lake, pétanque for an outside game to board games and books to relax inside. They have also provided a wealth of information about the surrounding area and what to see and do, with some great recommendations - we explored underground rivers, high wires in trees for the kids, a trip to the Pyrenees, a visit to the lake and many more, in 10 days we never drove more than c.45mins away as the house is perfectly located. You can even start a hike from your doorstep! Liz and Colin were wonderful hosts, very welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area. We like to consider a new destination for any new trip away but are seriously considering rebooking here due the the extremely high standard of the house and the wealth of things to do in the area. Belle maison restaurée avec gout et très bien équipée dans un beau village. Elizabeth est une hôte charmante, disponible tout en sachant rester discrète. Nous recommandons cette location.

Despite a subdued mood caused by the impact of the illness and subsequent death of a family member back in England, we managed to enjoy this beautiful corner of Ariege, The accomodation was to a high standard and meticulously arranged. Camon is a beautiful little town. We enjoyed cycling on the local roads and on the Voie Verte that could be accessed close by. We explored Mirepoix and other attractive hamlets and towns of the Ariege. Liz and Colin were excellent, supportive hosts.
