😊: The apartment was comfortable and clean. As there are appliances I.e washing machine, dishwasher perhaps an instruction folder in French, English and German should be left for guests to know how to use appliances. Also larger a frying pan would be of assistance. An extra toilet roll in a cupboard would be good. Pillows. The pillows we had were really cushions. Not very comfortable. A couple of proper sleeping pillows would have been preferable. A new mattress may also be a future requirement. Starting to sag a little. The apartment is in a good spot, close to the town and within walking distance to shops, transport, especially the shuttle buses to Giverny.. 😢: Please see above. 1. Pillows 2 saucepan too small to cook with 3. Weeds around the front entrance.

😊: The apartment was fine - very functional, and mostly clean though the rubbish cupboard was rather smelly.. 😢: The biggest problem was a last minute demand for a 500 Euro deposit. The link was only sent the day before, and didn't work. I had to repeat the exercise numerous times. Then my bank refused the payment on the basis of security. And then although I texted them to confirm it was OK, I had repeated requests from the landlady to provide this 'mandatory' deposit, when there was nothing more I could do to process it. As she didn't speak English, and I have very little French this took up a huge amount of time, and there was the implicit threat that - at the last minute on a holiday weekend - I would not get access to the apartment. I eventually managed to reach her by phone but she insisted on text only. Then when I finally went to the property the door code did not work. Eventually she opened the door remotely and reset the code. But I had one and a half days holiday and spent much of the first afternoon just trying to solve this problem. Also she only admitted the day before that the apartment was so noisy that she supplied 'free' ear plugs. This was not a good experience..

😊: Everything about the apartment was first class. It is charming in a charming building. Gorgeous bathroom. lovely Jane very helpful.. 😢: I didn’t know what level the apartment was on so had to ring Jany. Wasn’t sure how to Lock it from the outside. Perhaps this could have been clearer. But not real complaints, just remarks for information purposes..
