Vacances à Sarlat

😊: Beautiful apartment with lovely quirky features and modern conveniences. Excellent location for the town centre and ease of access to local attractions. We particularly appreciated having air conditioning in the heat wave! It wasn’t clear until we arrived that the sleeping arrangements were a double bed sofa in the living room (which has a curtain for some privacy) then a small single in an alcove of the hallway which leads from the living room to the main bedroom, which itself has a comfortable double bed. The garden area and private parking was a huge bonus in a town like Sarlat (and important for us as we had kit and bikes in the car). We took a trip to the Dordogne for canoeing which was an easy 20mins drive. Virgine, the owner, is lovely and sent us a video beforehand to explain the apartment and sent helpful recommendations of things to do/places to eat. Overall, a wonderful 3 night stay and we would highly recommend it!. 😢: Nothing really. There was nothing to dislike. One thing to be aware of is that the property is up a short but steep hill from the town centre. It’s no problem for most people but it’s something to be aware of if you have any mobility issues..

😊: The location was perfect - 3 mins to the shops and town - good secure parking. Netflix and Amazon prime available and the WIFI very good. The air con was a life saver during the heatwave! The only missing items were an iron and ironing board. Everything about the property was great and I would have no hesitation recommending a stay here.. 😢: Nothing.

😊: Great location. Excellent communication with Virginie, our host. Lovely spacious and clean apartment. Comfortable bed, and air con in the bedroom. Really liked the electric shutters too. Great secure parking, and the bonus of a garden to sit out in.. 😢: The shower curtain did not prevent quite a bit of water spilling onto the floor, and bath mat. Luckily it was warm weather, and the mat dried quickly.

😊: Perfect location for a wander into Sarlat, especially for the market. Superb selection of cafes and restaurants. The cottage was immaculate and had everything you need. Onsite parking was a huge bonus. The instructions and video made everything so easy. Will definitely stay again when in the region. Perfection.. 😢: Absolutely nothing!.

😊: The location was exceptional as it is just on the edge of the old city ( 5 min walk) yet has an off road parking space and easy access to the main road through Sarlat. The property had great character. So many places to explore: Sarlat medieval city, Le Manoir Gisson in the centre of Sarlat, the cathedral and Lanterne des Morts. Further away Rocamadour, Le Goffre de Padirac, La Foret de Singes, Le Jardin D’Eau, Brantome Abbey and boat trip, Le Roque Gageac and boat trip, Le Conquil and La Madeleine troglodyte villages. Stunning scenery and so much history. We stayed the last week in September, lucky to catch the end of the season for many attractions, with more limited opening hours from October.. 😢: Nothing!.
