Vast property with large heated swimming pool in the Dordogne-Périgord • 15 pple

We had a wonderful time. The house is amazing. Fred is a great host. We loved the area and went kayaking and to the swimming lake as well as the market in riberac.

We were a family of 13 people from ages 13 to 72 and we all had a wonderful time together. Fred was a very welcoming and supportive host. The setting is rural, but we found plenty to do out and about, particularly at Lac Jemaye and Aubeterre Sur Dronne. Our favourite family challenge was table tennis competitions and everyone enjoyed the pool.

La Tissonie is great and totally private and in such a beautiful rural location but only 10 minutes from the town of Riberac which has a fantastic market on a Friday. Fred was very welcoming and helpful when we needed to ask a few things. We were a family of 12 from ages 21 to 79 and the property was perfect for us all to be together, and also space for individual and quiet moments if required. The view from the super pool was a delight as was the eating terrace of an evening. Thank you Fred, we would definitely book again!

Top quality villa. Layout works really well giving opportunity of privacy and plenty of bathrooms. Very well equipped with more than enough for large groups. All kitchen equipment either new or recent. Great outdoor seating/ dining area providing shade from sun and rain if needed. Good sized pool , well maintained and safely fenced. Enormous grounds providing privacy. Fred is quite rightly proud of the villa and works hard to ensure that everything is spot on. We enjoyed the homemade foie gras he brought round. He is a really good host, not intrusive but very friendly and helpful. The villa is situated near a lake with a swimming area overseen by a lifeguard. Various activities like paddle boarding can be booked for free. There is plenty to do in the area. Our only pity was that we hadn’t spent 2 weeks here. Many, many thanks Fred!

Our group of 13 (four families) have just returned from a week at Fred's wonderful house. It was even better than we expected, peaceful and plenty of room, with a fantastic outside dining area and an excellent pool, perfect for cooling down (and playing) during this endless hot weather. Fred was welcoming and full of great advice about the area. We'd all definitely return. Book with confidence.

There was plenty of room for our group of nine - when we wanted to socialise with each other and when we needed a bit of space. The rooms were spacious, modern and clean. Lots of areas outside to sit and relax - for sun and shade lovers. The pool and table tennis table were great for cooling down or burning off excess teenage energy. The local area is lovely with plenty of places to visit within a reasonable distance. We visited Aubeterre, Riberac for its excellent market, Bordeaux, Brantôme, Sarlat as well as the local swimming lake and a couple of kayak trips. Last but not least - Fred, our host, was fantastic - great communication, welcoming and eager to help us to have the best holiday possible. It was a pleasure to meet him. We are all rather sad to be home and back at work - a sign of a great holiday!

We had such an amazing holiday at La Tisonnie. From the moment we arrived at this beautiful property, we were enchanted with it's peaceful location, it's layout & facilities, and most of all our host, Fred. We were 3 generations (14 people) enjoying a holiday together and attending our sons wedding. Fred was available to us to fulfill any request, & provided an excellent service throughout our stay. From arranging transport for the entire group home from the wedding at Chateau de La Cote, & sourcing assistance to help with car troubles, to hosting a family celebratory meal for our 18 guests. The layout provided spaces where we could all be together, & quiet places where we could enjoy some solitude. The pool proved to be a huge success for everybody & particularly our younger, energetic family members. Overall, it was a perfect location for our extended family holiday & we would happily recommend Fred & his beautiful property to family & friends alike. Thank you Fred
