Vernon : La Marinière

😊: The property was in a good location. 😢: There was and overwhelming smell of damp throughout the property, the downstairs rooms were damp and very smelly. The downstairs shower over flowed within 20 seconds of starting a shower so you had to continually stop it during your shower to prevent a flood. The property was set up with 3 double bedrooms but the lounge area only had a 2 seater settee and the dining table only had 4 seats. The beds are very budget as is some of the furniture, the coffee table was falling to pieces and the linen is of low quality and felt damp. I would not recommend this property..

😊: Ideal location for visiting Giverny. Also an easy walk from the rail station and the centre of Vernon. We liked the fact there were 3 bedrooms. The kitchen was well equipped for what we needed though we had to plug the kettle in on the lounge floor to use.. 😢: My 2 friends didn't like the downstairs bedrooms. The rooms were stuffy and the extractor fan was noisy. The pillows were terrible and the downstairs shower holder is broken so you have to hold it in your hand, making it tricky to wash your hair. They also felt there should be a handrail on the left of the stairs going down. It also seems unfinished outside - just breeze blocks. Finally there was noise from the occupants above..

😊: Nothing to like. 😢: The two bedrooms are complelely under ground, without any window, not even a vent feature.

😊: The location was great and the host was very friendly and understanding on the phone as we went slightly over our check out time.. 😢: None.
